There are now more NBA players with $30 million annual salaries than CEOs of S&P 500 companies who are guaranteed that much.

I am delighted to see anyone get paid what the market says they are worth.
Somebody must be happy to be paying their salary.
LeBron, Magic and plenty of others have the intelligence and responded to training to become successful CEOs.
Still waiting on the first CEO who has the skill to become an NBA player, let alone a $30M one.
Otherwise, as 9-9-9 says, glad to see people paid what the market says they're worth.
Why should they put on shorts and throw a ball at a hoop?
They already have the money.
The top people in any field make a lot of $. If your field includes an entertainment component you'll do even better. Why people begrudge the best athletes in the world their salaries is beyond me.
And the top NBA players are actually underpaid with the CBA limiting their salary. If there was no salary cap, the top players would undoubtedly be paid more.
Honestly I don't hear many complaints any longer about "high paid athletes." Most everyone realize the money around the top leagues is insane, and it doesn't really impact anyone's ability to enjoy the game.
Exactly, if someone wants to pay it, and they can get it, good for them.
Imagine their pay if their salaries were determined largely by other NBA players and recently retired NBA players.

I would think Michael would be dishing it out.
The obvious lesson is to put down the books and practice a jump shot.
