Received it on Friday. Can't find mine from last year. Anyone have insights on price increases on tickets, if any? Any substantial movements on priority point ranking that you've noticed?
Small price increase. Disappointed that to get perks of ability to buy parking and club levels, all based on donations. $5,000 for parking and Blue and Gold club.
Make sure you check your points ! ! ! Ours were off again! ! ! We "lost" points for no reason.... Called the office and they did return the call the next day, today.... As always a computer program "Glitch".... All fixed.... My wife is very diligent in that regards. 8-)

They should deduct mega-points if there's a Domer sitting in your season ticket seat
I was told there was no price increase, now I don't know if he meant just for where I was sitting, or for the whole Forum.

I dropped season tix a few yrs back. Instead, pick & choose 3 or 4 individual games. You can get good seats thru brokers, avoid the cupcakes. Perks? Money saved have dinner at Sanford.

Anyone know if the ticket office is having staffing troubles or anything? It takes them days to respond to my emails or voicemails and sometimes I have to send follow ups just to get half an answer. If anyone knows whether they're short staffed but hiring, I can wait it out... but if not I may have to escalate! >:(

Maybe they are just avoiding you because you are a pain in the a$$. ;D
Maybe, maybe not.

Hm, that second part could be true!
It's just one issue actually... I think my priority points are wrong. They eventually get back to me when I email (or send a follow up anyway), but they don't actually answer my question when they do respond (happened twice now).

You're creating a new fact pattern that has not ever been presented
What's the point of priority points these days?
In the BC era, more points = better seats. Now, you can sit in nearly any section, plus or minus some rows if you have the money.
I suppose now it's priority for post-season tickets?
I think it depends on the person.
Personally, I'm at a point level where I'm right on the cusp of where the 1st row center section (upper level) fills up, the $150 seats sell out (I'd love to have 2 extra so I'd have the option to take more than 1 other person to a game), and some of the lower bowl corners fill fast so it's a difference of several rows. That all seems to happen right at the same time.
I'm sure for others it's not as big of a deal.

With the NCAA monopolizing tickets on the pre-sale and secondary market, the post-season benefit doesn't really exist in more. I was talking to a friend who is #50 and he was even shut out in Columbus. I think MU even deemphasized it this year.
I logged into my My Marquette Account to take a look at available seats (I don't choose until next week). I can't find a way to view the seat map. What am I missing? Thanks.

100%.
I think, at least these days, the point of priority points is to create the illusion that there is a point to priority points i.e. contribute more money so you have the opportunity to purchase better seats, when in fact, the last couple of years as you say, there are open seats in virtually every section upstairs and downstairs, except courtside and student section.

I have been through this process for years. Right now you can view the sections. I hope to remain in section 106. Before the start, there are quite few seats that are set aside in all sections. These include the tickets in the first few rows and then there are seats that are interspersed throughout the sections. They are in clusters of two, four or six. My question is whether these are folks in the point system, special friends, teachers, companies. I don't think they are long time season ticket holders. I am one. I know MU has tickets for certain folks at certain games. It is just that these seats are all over the place including higher rows in the lower bowl.

They're all for Gruber Law Offices.

Just thought I'd mention, was talking to the students who were there for season ticket sales.
They told me there was no price increase this year and that season tickets accounts went up by almost 1,000 from the end of last year.
Total season ticket accounts now number almost 4,000.

My spot improved almost 20% and I am two rows further back. Some of that is the Ticketmaster algorithm, but I suspect the COVID Cheap Charlie Vesties came down from the rafters on this reseating cycle and others are taking all 4 as they can sell more seats on the secondary market with this team and schedule. There will be less quality inventory for the packs is my guess.
Got the same seats yesterday but really thought I'd be able to improve in my section (119). Was surprised to see so many seats gone, but I could have upped my contribution and gotten seats closer to center court. I did not add to my donations, though, and I'm sure many people did. Didn't even consider people might buy four with the intention to resell. Not complaining, I'm in the building for what should be an incredible year!
We picked yesterday and got our same seats as last year, Sect 118. We did increase our donation$ $ome. We moved up a little. but plenty available in "our" area to pick! ! ! 8-)

In my section, the closest to my seats are 7 rows back. I'm guessing the average Scooper isn't paying $5,000-$13,000 per seat to sit courtside. And I'd guess most who have been lower deck for years aren't looking at upper deck, especially in Fiserv where it was specifically designed for more lower deck seating.
This is the first time I bothered looking because I don't pick until tomorrow, but my immediate thought was "what's going to be left at 5:34 tomorrow night?" Bloodbath is exactly what that looks like. But I'm glad to see ticket sales up. Hope we get commensurate butts in seats.
Bots buying up all the tickets? I thought the program was on the verge of a shutdown due to lack of interest thanks to our incompetent marketing department who can't be bothered to steam a top 10 team's games against worse than D3 competition.
Row 1 centercourt in the upper deck is virtually gone. Hopefully my one section over seats are still there tomorrow!
Yes, I was able to pick up 3 Seats Center Court upper. Last year I was a section over.
Previous years I Sat Center Court first row across the court looking at the Marquette bench.
Had to move to the other side of the arena cause a couple of my buddies. Don't walk very well anymore.
Missed my picking time bc it coincided with a meeting I arrived late to due monsoons in MKE.
2 hours later I got a call from MU. I said same as last season, he said no problem. I'm probably underseated bc I like the corners, and I like being up towards the concourse. Maybe I could move but I've grown accustomed to what I've had since 1997. Being stuck at the bottom of a section at the end of a half would kill me.
Getting that call was great though. Fantastic service as usual from MU athletics.

My position in the point rankings has held fairly steady the last few years and each year I'm right on the cusp of sitting first row of 208/222 (center section upper). This year it seemed to be open a bit longer, but I am finally jumping down to lower bowl and noticed less availability there. My impression is that people are spending just a bit more this year for better seats (like myself) and more people are buying extra tickets with their seats in lower.

So my 31 years started when I was 4 so I get that sentiment. I'll stand up if I can exit early post game. Give and take! Still waiting for the powers that be to transfer over your parents tickets to you without paying. But they may never know she passes.

I picked my tickets at 3:22pm today. There was plenty left in 114 (approx. 400 seats). The corners in general are pretty open in the back half of the sections. Anything directly looking straight at the court is mostly gone, minus some singles and some spots in the back few rows.

Similar experience for me. Watching this thread the past few days I was worried my normal "front row upper off center" seats were at risk but they were fine this afternoon... and I felt inventory of the price point I was looking at was more than the past few years come my time. I moved up rank a bit but not substantial. Wouldn't surprise me if the lower simply filled faster this year leaving more of the uppers open today for folks like us.

I suspect this is the case. Probably some of the people that went upstairs near the end of the Wojo years brought all their points back downstairs.
Since I couldn't watch the stream of the games in Italy I have no idea what to expect of the team and thus couldn't decide if the money was worth it. So I decided not to get tickets this year. Since we win by 40 but I only found out through non MU sources, I may regret that.

I moved to the cheapest seats in the building as my form of "protest" during the end of Wojo's reign of terror. Definitely moved back to a more premium position now! Probably a big reason for low lowers inventory and high uppers.
It's Thursday, any new reports on inventory? The new STHs should be picking today and tomorrow. 14-15K (with students) as a ST base would be amazing.
Showing my napkin math: ~4000 claimed STH * 2.7 per picker, plus 4000 students.

Can't get in anymore, but as of Wednesday the ticket map looked a lot like it did for non-con/weeknight games last season. Still inventory downstairs and a ton of it still in the 200 level. Likely 12-13K between STH and students.
From what I've heard not many new accounts added, but slightly more seats being bought by existing accounts.

Agreed, 4k would have been mind blowing. I looked back at old emails and it looks like in 19-20 there were 3253 accounts and, if the points calculator was to be believed, there were just over 2600 in June this year. 1400 additional new accounts seemed extremely optimistic, despite last year's success.
Anyone know what the new total actually ended up being going into this year? I imagine it will take a couple years of success to get back to where we used to be pre-WOJO/COVID.
I looked at the PP calculator first week July and remember seeing right around 2900 in total. (If the calculator was to be believed)
I was told close to 4000 accounts.
