Title: MU freshman found dead in dorm
Post by: wadesworld on April 19, 2023, 09:41:07 AM
Sad day for the MU community.  A freshman living in Cobeen was found dead in his dorm room last night.  No foul play is suspected, he apparently had diabetes and insulin was found nearby.  His roommate found him unresponsive when he returned home.  Thoughts and prayers to his family and friends.

Damn, with a freshman in college and a rising senior in high school, every time my wife and I see a headline like this we panic and hurt a little.

Absolutely heartbreaking and awful news.  My deepest condolences to his family, friends, and entire MU community.

I was sorry to hear this and feel bad for the roommate too - had to be hard to find him 🥲.  My sympathies

Very sad, a parent's nightmare.

Reportedly a type one diabetic... likely hypoglycemic or hyperglycemic induced coma.  Was found with an insulin pen next to him.  As someone who has multiple family members who are type one diabetics, this is what you worry about as a parent.  Absolutely heartbreaking.

My wife's cousin lost her daughter to something similar earlier this school year at CSU.

Devastating for anyone to outlive their children.

I lost my son at 12 days old and it is indeed devastating - it’s a club that I wish there were no members of.
