Here it is Game Day and I can't get my Cox network to reboot! I've checked my connections, unplugged and re plugged numerous times and still no luck. If it comes on I'm leaving it on but any suggestions before I head to the bar to watch the game? Why do I have to update daily? Thanks in advance.
I hate it when my Cox won't reboot.
Sorry, too easy.
One option is to login using your cable credentials to March Madness Live and watch on your browser or the app.

Cox can be hard, maybe use a soft reboot?
I have Cox here in Las Vegas. Sounds like you did all the unplugging... What about the Alternative Method below (using the Cox website)? This is how I reboot my system:
1) unplug cable modem and router (assuming you have both)
2) leave cable modem off for three minutes
3) plug in cable modem and wait for all four lights to be on and not flashing (your modem may have
more/less lights)
4) plug in router
5) I pull up the wifi on my phone and wait to see it auto connect to my wifi network
Note: this has always worked for me
Alternative Method:
Log in to Cox website and from the "Customer" pull down menu choose "Reset My Modem". If it works then go to step 3) above.
Head to the bar.

Good advice all. Thanks. It finally came on. But, why is this a daily requirement?

Who is requiring? Or it's just always dead in the morning? Regardless...time to switch services.

happened to me once with cox-i went straight to store and got a new modem-make sure you take your old one and all it's stuff. usually no questions asked-they exchanged, i re-hooked up and bada bingo!!
this is if you have time
did you go online and check your connections? send signal call and skip the B.S. and ask for a representative

centurytel?? ummm......no i tried to throw my hissy fit thing and was right back to cox....uckers
Glad your Cox is back up.
Cox tech will be here tomorrow to address this so hopefully this goes away permanently.
Ms. Dgies had some of the same problem.
She is staying at a hotel in Vernon Hills, IL and the cable went off just before our game started.
She never got our game back... but followed it by ESPN's running game thread.
Oh and yes, for whatever reason, Ms. Dgies has become a Warrior basketball fan again! Haven't seen her take this much interest in our team in years. And, yes, she's an MU grad too!

[/quote. Cox requires this daily. If I'm watching tv or not. If I'm watching a screen comes on telling me that reboot is coming in 5 minutes and do I want to wait for it to start, start immediately or skip. You are only allowed to skip 2 consecutive days and then they do it automatically. I don't know why this is even required!
