From those lists, college basketball is a big man's game.

These aren't true "teams". It goes strictly by point total, not by position. Tyler is 3rd team because he came in 12th in the voting.
I am not super familiar with the players outside the Big East. Can anyone tell me how he did versus other point guards?
Also, who is Ryan Falkbrenner?

I'm pretty sure it's this guy

His name is actually Ryan Brenner, but Kolek added the prefix "falk" to his name.

Right now he is saying,
"Oh, sure - they can spell Azuolas Tubelis'and Oscar Tshiebwe's names right, but not mine!"
He's been the best player in tbe country the last 15 games of the season.
Another slight.

Voters love gaudy rebounding numbers.
Tyler and team found their "edge." Now lets go win.
Not really shocking that he didn't make first or second team. Just another accolade in an incredible season for him. Well deserved.

Yes. As in Falk em.
This is a little higher than I expected so I think he played his way in with the BET MVP performance. The AP POY is more of a popularity contest than a true measure of the best point guard.
Sasser and Pickett made 1st and 2nd and Kolek and Nowell made third and Boum got honorable mention. I think Kolek deserved higher but didn't have enough national pub until too late.
Kolek 'em, aina?
Final Four MOP has a better ring to it.

That does have a nice ring to it. Truth be told, I'd kind of like to see Prosper win FF MOP. I was touched by that video (https://twitter.com/MUWireSports/status/1634764906246332416?s=20) that was linked last week when Oso interrupted an interview of OMax and told the reporter what an important part of the team he was. OMax has been frustrating at times this year, but he's a vital part of this team. And he's the
only non-freshman in the rotation that hasn't received any formal accolades.*
So, I'd love to see OMax get the FF MOP. If he does, that will mean that OMax had an outstanding tournament and Marquette is the national champion. Let's make it happen, MU.
*For purposes of this statement, I am considering Stevie's "all glue team" as a formal accolade. But I'd also be thrilled to see Mitchell win the MOP.
Congrats Tyler you earned it.

I'd love to be debating which of our heroes deserved Finals MOP!
Congratulations to Tyler! Well deserved!
tyler has been another great example of the player all the "experts" rated low coming out of high school but misunderstood/misread what was in his heart. then tyler found the right place/coach to unleash the talent-his legacy is far from finished-thank you T f'em K.
