Let's get it started!
Section 107. See you there!
Section 209. Will go to the send off party at the hotel whenever that gets announced
Section 118 baby. See everybody there.
120 Friday.
Bought tickets for all 3 sessions when it was announced we'd be in Columbus but before knowing which session we'd be in, figuring I'd sell off the session(s) we weren't playing in. Went to list Session 2 on Stubhub and didn't realize it can take up to 3 days to get them approved and listed. Oops!
Antyone know what the "official" MU sections are for the Columbus sessions?
Section 102 reporting for duty! 🫡
Also planning to attend whatever hotel pregame sendoff MU holds.
I also have tickets to the Sunday session (Section 106)

I'll be in 102 as well. Let's get a fist bump in dawg!
Wonder if that'll be behind the MU bench or the Vermont bench
Section 119 Friday. Sunday section TBD.

MU sections on Friday per email tonight are 102, 103 and 201. That could change for Sunday.
So some of you have received emails from Marquette confirming you have tickets for the Columbus games?
Actually, my email said due to unprecedented demand and limited supply, I unfortunately did NOT receive tickets through MU. I was advised to go to Ticketmaster or another reputable ticketing website for tickets. Email shared the MU sections if we wanted to sit nearby.
I don't know if others got confirmation. Maybe if you ordered and you haven't gotten the email I got, you're in.
Also got rejected and went secondary market.
I'll be there.
No tickets yet. But buying probably closer to game time.
Where's the parties at?
I have family heading down and any party info would be appreciated. They want to do as much MU activities as possible.

I actually contacted them directly and was told due to limited demand I would fall short. Bought tickets on Ticketmaster before receiving the email that gave the MU sections, got lucky that we are close. Can't wait!
A TMJ reporter is looking for someone traveling to the game to interview. Not getting many bites on the Marquette subreddit

I never got an email of rejection from MU. I called the ticket office to find out. Still waiting on getting my money returned.
Off to the secondary market!
Anyone have any word on where the team hotel is and if there's some sort of pregame gathering there?

Our rejection email went to junk mail even though we got all the other emails.
Has anyone heard they did get tickets through MU?
Just got three in sec 118 on Ticketmaster for Friday. Paid their damn fees.
But all good. I'm ready!

If you didn't get tickets from MU, your credit card won't be charged.
No luck for me getting tickets through MU either. Hope they didn't screw existing season ticket holders for those placing new deposits.

If they have three sections that seems like a really small number of accounts.

That's 400 tickets per school allocated by the NCAA. 1600 for Session One. It seems there will be a lot of Ohio State fans making money on their pre-sale purchases from last summer.
My family will be there. Pregame suggestions?

We can only hope. I mentioned previously
My UCONN friend ,a season ticket holder, was
told $10k to be able to buy tickets to the BET
Might be something like this going on
Yeah, I found the message saying I didn't get tickets from MU in my junk folder. Oh well. But I am a season ticket holder in the 200 section at Fiserv so not a big spender compared to others.
Looks like you can get tickets in the $30's + fees in the 200 section for the first session on Friday for the MU and MSU games on Stubhub and Vivd.
Spitballing it but 400 tickets for STH (top 2%), 100 for staff and player's families and 50 for students (band). That puts each school at 550 per session (4) in an arena that sits 19,500 for basketball. So 11% of the arena's tickets are allocated to the participating teams' fans.
The NCAA hates us!
A family member and his father call the mid major schools to see if they have any extras in their allotment. They get tickets doing that every year. Might be worth it to call Vermont or USC.

Good call. Based on when we played USC at Orlando a few years back, USC does not travel well at all.

In the past, these teams would turn their excess over and the hot ticket schools could allocate a bigger supply. MU said that the NCAA has a holding these this time and to buy from them.
What happened I am guessing is that Ohio State season ticket holders bought big on the summer pre-sale. So allocation inventories are now low and their fans and the NCAA are profiting on resell. Fxck'Em
I'm traveling to Columbus but more likely to sit in the cheaper seats up top. For those looking for something a bit better I called the USC office and they have tickets available. $200 per ticket for the first and second round but they said second ($100) gets refunded if they lose so you might need to rebuy for Sunday if we win but USC loses.

It's like what Nova does in Philly. But I was corrected in this case as tOSU cannot host and play. In Philly, another school hosts.
Just got the Official email from MU about the festivities in Columbus this week.

Sonesta is indeed the team hotel. There's a reception & team send off sometime 12:30 pm or later on Friday.
There's an official MU bar near the arena too....The R Bar (which according to my brother that lives in Columbus is a hockey bar that Blue Jackets fans frequent....he said it's a very cool establishment).

Did anyone go to the MU event at the hotel yesterday and want to share their thoughts? My wife and I are driving down to Columbus tomorrow and deciding if we are going to go to the event at the hotel. Worth it? Is it really free beer? Did you get to see the team leave? How long before tip-off?
I went yesterday....we got to see every member of the team leave + coaches & Shaka. MU Band was there & played the fight song & several other songs....cheerleaders were there too. Well worth it.
Went to the reception then in a different part of the hotel but didn't have much time there as we wanted to get over to see the end of Mich St-USC game. Food was mini Reuben sandwiches, Buffalo wings, egg rolls, veggies & fruit, meat and cheese & crackers & few other items.
Didn't get a drink at the bar there as it was pretty crowded....MU women's game was on the TVs and a lot of people were locked into it.
Event starts around 3:00....team usually leaves 1.5 hours before their game. (So 3:45 probably tomorrow).

The send off and reception at the team hotel were great. The send off got started about 2 hours before game time.
The reception was pretty solid as well. I thought it was worth the $30. Food was decent, drinks were easy to get. Wound up having to grab a table in the downstairs area of the bar but that was just fine. Had enough time to watch the team leave, grab a bite and a few drinks while the MU women's game was wrapping up, then walked to the arena.

Awesome, enjoy, bring home a W.
I agree that the reception was a lot of fun, the sendoff was well orchestrated and packed with fans.
Going to hit that up again today.
Yesterday I did Lox bagel in the morning- awesome spot the egg sandwich was great- and wolf ridge, citizens trust- great cocktail lounge and phenomenal old fashioned's- pins mechanical, parlay sports bar.
All were great, although I wasn't a huge fan of wolf ridge beer.
Columbus has impressed me more than I expected, it's a cool city.
The Pint House was fun for sure. Great french fries.
Game viewing is awesome at the Parlay bar on High Street. The bummer about that place is they don't have Miller Lite so I had to pound PBR.

MU is taking "limited walk-ups" for the event. Bill Scholl will always be ready to take your $$$. The Sonesta lobby bar is where the fans congregate early and where the team passes for the bus trip. The alumni event is at the Sonesta restaurant across from the lobby (through the parking canopy). Food and drinks were plenty.
Have fun and bring home the W today.

Well, not in Columbus, but at Champps in MKE at the moment it looks like a Packer game is going to be on soon.
I am very disappointed in my in laws down there, they went to Ohio State tennis match instead of the bars.
