Title: [Cracked Sidewalks] 2023 Bracketology Final
Post by: brewcity77 on March 12, 2023, 03:21:58 PM
If I were basing this on my opinions, I'm sure people would like it more. But I'm trying to project the Selection Committee, so it is what it is. Here's our final projection:

I know that’s your final one, but does the overall #1 change from Houston if they get destroyed in your opinion?

That would send the committee really scuffling last minute, huge ripple effect.

They probably don’t like these current results either way, another reason why the games should be completed in saturday

We might get a good idea whether or how much the Committee considered the Saturday games based on where Marquette and Duke end up.

It won't make a difference. It's one loss with Sasser injured and the Committee isn't going to overhaul the bracket to address that anyway.

Just an FYI, you have Louisiana listed twice. One should be UCSB.

Houston’s result today is totally meaningless.

Ok, but it’s not a consensus overall 1 depending on where you look.

Delphi has Alabama as its overall 1 but said they think Kansas should get it.
Lunardi also has Alabama.

Delphi doesn’t know his a** from his elbow doc. Of all people you should know that difference

Overall number 1 isn’t worth much more than bragging rights. They will still play in the same locations, and their opponents will be driven as much by how other top seeds are placed in the bracket than by their position on the seed list.

Bracketguy Dave’s final bracket has MU playing in Columbus as a 2 seed against Vermont with Utah State and Missouri as the 10 and 7 seeds.

The pod feeds to the South Region where Alabama, Baylor, and Duke are the 1,3,and 4 seeds.

If I did my math right, 358 Paymon Score, beating my 357 personal best in 2021. Happy that if I missed a 2/3, it favored Marquette. Missed Nevada, who I took a long look at.

I'm happy I was right - but I don't see how they could have put Baylor ahead of us.
