COLE... hoping for at least 7 OTs and a few suspensions for a fight
Prov looks really bad right now.
Currently looking like one of those "matter of time before Uconn blows the doors off"
Prov needs to straighten out on O quick.

Sort of like how we looked?
Why have the flop call if it's not used there?

Yes, but they are playing Uconn where we played a team that has a rec league style

For 12 minutes. With Stevie on the bench with two.
Has the makings of another rock fight.
Bryce Hopkins has faded down the stretch this season.

Looks like only Uconn brought the rocks.
Providence definitely brought the bricks though.
Second straight day where we know our next oppenent before halftime.
Friars look like they're cooked. Must know Cooley is going to Georgetown.

Yep, they are certainly laying the,.
After today's performances nobody is going to expect MU to win tomorrow. Maybe that will help take some of the pressure off and let MU play their game.

No teal there. Guess the guy who hired Cooley at Providence is now President at Georgetown, and Cooley has been infatuated with Georgetown for awhile. The rumors are swirling, if or when Ewing goes. Read that somewhere last night, but can't find article. Who knows.
Providence floundering. Hopefully Uconn gets all the good shots out today.
Yikes looks like non conference UConn. Not feeling good about Tomorrow at all. At least avoided the embarrassment to the Johnnies
Time to watch golf.

I'm not worried - the team plays better as an underdog. The only thing that'll bother me is if Fox puts Donny Marshall on the color. But I think it'll be Rafferty.
Also, who is Aaron Jones gonna root for tomorrow? He's all "Tyler Kolek is. the best" but he's on the sidelines in a UCONN jersey for this one.
Woof. Providence collapse this year is something.
Anyone objective knows UConn is not only the better team but playing at a higher level than MU has been. MU could win but most likely won't.

I could see him being a fit there, but that'd be an unexciting hire for Georgetown and the conference.

Whaaa---Aaron Jones is in New York?? Is Rodgers there with him? Are they there to announce a giant blockbuster trade to the Jets?

There's a ceiling at Providence, I think. There isn't at Georgetown

I think it'd be awesome for the conference. Get the Georgetown vs. Providence rivalry going, and it'd make Georgetown relevant. He might not have the national title ceiling, but he'd have them at least as competitive as he has Providence and then when he retires it's a very attractive job.
UConn is damn good.
14-0, #2 in the country. Still crushing MU in the NET. The only team to whup MU.

Great. Now he AND Bill Murray are gonna be against us.
Tomorrows game is for the 2 seed. There is no doubt in my mind if we beat Uconn we will be the last 2 seed regardless of saturday.
What a game!
Don't give the W to UConn just yet.
Good grief, what does UConn have to do to get called for a foul?
This is the most classic example of Providence getting outrageous calls in their favor. I even want Providence to win but its so fucking annoying watching Cooley and their guys complain about everything. Even more annoying that it very obviously works.

UConn gets away with plenty, but nobody gets the calls like Providence, other than Creighton at home.

Exactly what I said
UConn was 2s from a 10s violation and the Friars int. foul?
Why did Providence foul Sanogo? They were 2 seconds from a 10-second violation.

My low confidence in playing Uconn just slightly increased thanks to this.
For all the love that Cooley gets on here, that was an absolutely boneheaded decision to foul when a 10 second violation was going to occur in less than 2 seconds and the center with the ball looking like a deer in the headlights.
If a certain former MU coach had let that happen he'd be berated for days on end for his stupidity and deservedly so.

I was watching at the time and can't remember if there was something that caused the 10 second count to reset.

UCONN called a timeout with 23 on the clock, which I think resets the 10 second count. So thats why they fouled Sonogo on the inbound.

There was a kick ball with 3 seconds left and then Hurley called the timeout which reset the 10 second count.

A providence player fouled Sanogo who was looking for someone to pass to. There was no kicked ball as there was no pass. After the foul Hurley wisely called a timeout so the shot clock would reset.
The foul occurred with either 22 or 23 seconds left on the shot clock so in my view, Providence should NOT have fouled as UConn's center had the ball and was not even thinking about advancing via the dribble. It was a sure :10 violation if Providence had just continued playing defense.
Looks like timeout by UCONN, then foul on Providence.
