1. What great defense in the first half. Particularly Joplin. That is the best defensive half he has had.
2. When the threes are not falling, but shots are available at the rim, you should......? Anyone? Bueller?
3. Ben Gold. You have improved. But at this point you have to know to keep your hands up at all times when Kolek starts driving.
4. TKo is the man. BEPOY.
5. Oso was not at his best tonight. But when he did hold onto the ball he was effective.
6. Glad to see the bench get run.
7. Omax, after infuriating the usual suspects, actually had a solid game.
8. Should we nitpick the Butler offensive boards in the second half?
9. Never a doubt. Balance. Efficiency.
10. Keeyan sighting!
Cut down the nets! Pop the champagne.
Glad to see the TyKo OMax embrace at the end. Adversity brings good teams together

I loved that hug!!!
Thanks, Shaka
Disappointing game. Should have won by 30 but the offense was sloppy. 13 turnovers is unacceptable. I'd make each guy walk around campus with a basketball in his arms at all time and offer coeds a $1 every time they knock it out of their hands.
Butler had 14 free throws to Marquette's 5. Where was the fire from Shocka? Al would have gotten a technical.
34 points for Butler in the second half? Can anyone say turnstile? Another second half letdown.
Finally, Cam was 4-11. Big East champs or not, that's the biggest takeaway from this game. Cam needs to ride pine
11. The Kolek/Oso combination is just a thing of beauty.
Brilliant, Rico. I feel you.
Looking forward to the welcome home on Saturday.

I have two words for you Brother Goose:
F**k 'em!!!!!
Marquette is the Champion of The Big East.
F **K Em!
I can't believe we're here. We are champions of the Big East. We've gone from punching bag to conference champs in less than 2 years and I'm pretty sure we're just getting started. I'm 47 and I've never felt better about #mubb.
Hey Blondie, I'll take mine with Champagne.
What an awesome season! Traveling for work so will join Goose and have a bourbon for celebration. (watched the game in cab and at hotel)...
One helluva accomplishment! Congrats to the players, coaches and staff! Exciting Marquette Basketball and great National attention! Goo Marquette! Lots more to do!

Well, he will be Oso's backup next year....so he needs those 45 seconds in blow outs to get real game action!
Great Marquette crowd at the game. Great to meet some of you!
TKO was loving the energy.
Shaka is a treat. Deserves every accolade. Winning today was special and you could see it on his face.

Congratulations to the team! Well done! Now keep going and make this season truly special. Go MU!!!!

Disagree. This means everything. Hoping for a great March run but to go from where we were in 2021 to this is nothing short of incredible. I desperately want more and to see this team play in the second/third weekend. But they don't have to win another game for this campaign to be an unequivocal success.

Excellent choice
Did they actually cut the nets? It didn't seem like it, plus it would be pretty weird to do it on the road. Any chance they'd do it Saturday? Or would that be celebration overkill
No finish line! We ain't done yet

I've had the good fortune to cheer for a lot of very good and a handful of great Marquette teams in the last 57 years. I don't know yet where this year's will ultimately rank on that list but I can honestly say that no Marquette TEAM - ever - has made me more proud to have a connection with the University.
So happy for the coaches, players and fans. I hope everyone (Farley and Nolongerwarriors included) are celebrating tonight. This team is special.

Hope you are enjoying the championship. I 100% agree on the special bond this team created and how it is has made Marquette University proud. There have been, and will be, better teams, but none more special than this season. I hope everyone is enjoying being part of a special night and season in MU history.

I met a bunch of Butler fans in Lexington in 2013, and they were some of the nicest opposing team fans I've interacted with anywhere. Very complimentary of Marquette.

Very complimentary last night, as were the Purdue fans earlier. The ND fans were not...
Last night reminded me of when Nova came at the end of 2016, after Hank sprained his ankle. Just a total accepted beatdown.

Was in Lexington. After the comeback win against Davidson and our matchup with Butler was determined, we went out to a bar and there's Homer by himself having a debate with a group of Butler fans. The Butler fans were telling Homer that they were on their way to being Duke and Brad Stevens was their Coach K. Homer was telling them Stevens wouldn't be there for more than 2 more years.
Homer also called Jimmy Mac at our request and had him on speaker phone. Mac didn't seem thrilled with the call.

Creighton fans were always the bane of my existence. Still hate Seton Hall as a program just because of Powell, Willard and Mamu but never had any run in with their fans.
Creighton fans are arrogant little sh!ts for a team that's been to like two s16 in their history.
So are Butler fans going to boycott Milkshake Indy, now that the team got their victory shakes there? ;D

My buddy and I enjoyed having a beer with you and Mrs. Barnes, Jake.
We were a few sections over from you, behind the Butler bench. Between those sitting around us and those at Chatham Tap, at least a dozen Butler fans congratulated us on Marquette's behalf and several said they thought MU has a great chance to go to the Final Four.
So it was a great experience all around. That it came only a few days after several of our gang got together at the DePaul game made it all the more special.
This season is bringing old Warriors and Golden Eagles out of the woodwork, and that's cool. I'm sure enjoying the hell out of it!

It was great to have a beer and catch up! I'll be better at getting there earlier next time so we can have a few more (although the walk there helped me remedy the transgressions that occurred at St Elmo's upstairs bar the night prior and actually be able to have a beer in the first place).
