"And now it's which team can finish."

Key to this game will be how we attack Creighton's defense. Creighton's opponents on the season have scored 60% of their points from 2 pointers. That distribution of 2-pointers is good for top 5 in the country. Meanwhile, Creighton's opponents' have scored 27.3% of their points on threes which is 302nd in the country. At first glance you would think this means that Creighton has a solid three point defense and poor defense inside. In actuality, Creighton's 3p% allowed is a very pedestrian 33.9% and their 2P% allowed is an elite 45.3%. What this means is that Creighton defends the three by running opponents off the three point line and defends the two by running them into Kalkbrenner. Attackers will get a ton of opportunities to choose between challenging Kalkbrenner at the rim or pulling up for an inefficient mid-range shot.
We will need our shooters to hit open shots the few times we get them. May need to take the first open three available because there's no guarantee a second one will come. I could see Ben getting some run because he can force Kalkbrenner out away from the basket. Hopefully Oso's 10 foot push shot is working.
Good article to pump up interest and rooting for whoever team is your favorite.

I agree that Ben Gold might get some real minutes tonight. Plus, I agree they need to pull the trigger when they have the open three. No hesitation tonight and they get the win. As always, a quick start would be awfully nice tonight. It has been awhile since they got of the box quickly.
Who would Gold guard?

I'd tweak that to say that MU might really benefit if Ben Gold can put in some real, quality minutes tonight. He needs to be effective in pulling Kalkbrenner out by hitting a few threes, making some solid interior passes and maybe even driving. On the other end, he needs to hold his own on defense, either 1:1 or in a zone.
He won't get some real minutes if he doesn't perform. Tonight is a chance for him to shine. Be gold, Ben Gold!
