Since joining the Big East in 2006, where do you put the X victory?
It firmly put MU as the leader to win the regular season outright and get the #1 seed in the BET.
Others that come to mind:
Beating #1 Nova
MU's first Big East game, where Novak dropped 41 against #2 Uconn
Games in 2008
Games in 2013
What say you? Where do you rank this game ... again among regular season Big East games only.
I rank it as a fine win for a fine team.
It was a great win given the circumstances but it's not even top 15. There were some damn good games against West Virginia regular season and tournament as well as games vs nova in the big east tournament that belong up there.
Novaks game winner for notre dame in 2006
Sam hausers 3 with .4 left to force overtime vs creighton. Howard's 50 point game vs providence imo all top yesterday

Totally get what you are saying, but this one puts MU in the drivers seat for a BE title. Still tbd, but it might be right up there.
It's a great win but it's hard to rank individual regular season conference games the more I think about it, especially a day after the game. You sort of need the full context for what's happened both before and after the game. If MU loses their next two games for instance, this win won't feel as big.
Good game but MU didn't clinched anything so in future years it will just be another game. Vander Blue's last minute layup in OT in 2013 to clinch a share of the Big East title ranks higher by far as does many other games.
If MU beats Creighton that would instantly replace this games significance.
As a season ticket holder I've been to all but a small handful of MU's home Big East games. I've come home from a lot of them feeling really good and last night's was one of them. But, really not much more than many others over the years, including UConn and Providence this year.
I think it was the biggest win of the Shaka era and likely will not be top five a year or two from now. Again, a big win for the program.

I get what you're saying. But you seem to be answering the question about games that contained the most entertainment value. On that front, last night was not a well-played game overall. Only the last 29 seconds contained entertainment.
I was thinking more along the lines that it can be the game that set up MU for their first outright regular season championship and #1 seed in the BET. I also agree this can only be known in a few weeks. Lay some eggs against Depaul, Butler, and/or St. Johns, and the meaning of last night changes.

Yeah. Usually, a big win needs to be viewed in context and also not the day after it happened.
Right now, with the high anxiety of the game fresh in my mind, it seems huge. But that's
today.

Totally...I'm going to give it five years before judging.
Yea I suppose you are right. If they win the big East it will easily jump up to a top 5. St. John's win the last game of the season in 2013 needs to be up there with the last second layup.

Yea. The Nova #1 game has lost some luster due to how we followed it up. Although that was a super fun game.
It's tough to top the 2013 Syracuse game where Jake Thomas had the 4 point play.
Cadougan's 3 to send then UCONN game to overtime was fun.

I don't know how you can objectively say that a game that "puts us in the drivers seat to win the Beast" can be bigger than a game that actually wins the Beast. Big game, fun win, no where near an all timer IMO.
