I'd have to look it up, but the rule probably states as long as the balls motion has stopped momentum with both teams with possession it could be called a jump.

This is apparently NBA rules but I see no mention of feet or legs being allowed

Section VII—Held Ball

A held ball occurs when two opponents have one or both hands firmly on the ball or
when a defensive player touches the ball causing the offensive player to return to the floor
with the ball in his continuous possession which would result in a traveling violation.

A held ball should not be called until both players have hands so firmly on the ball that
neither can gain sole possession without undue roughness. If a player is lying or sitting on
the floor while in possession, he should have an opportunity to throw the ball.

What does the NBA do when the ball gets wegded between the rim and board?

I'm also imagining a player now pinning the ball between his thighs, and never getting a turnover haha.

the floor while in possession, he should have an opportunity to throw the ball.

Can't find the college rule, only some dummies complaining thay it should go back to two players actually jumping..

My guess is they called MU kicked ball in that one as the possession arrow never changed, that I saw.

Ref singaled for a tie up. A kick ball on marquette would be so much more criminal.

That's why Gold sits on bench. Turnover and foul. And he is pulled after two minutes.

MU up 20 with 11 to go was best lead.

MU much better with Ross in game than Omax, who has been not good.

These turnovers by SH are crazy bad.

Uh oh, the refs made a bad call that helped MU.....those darn refs.

Looking forward to Ross continuing to posterize guys going forward.

Had we made a few of those wide open threes we would have easily won this game by 30-35.

Except he talked crap to Shaka last time they played...so...not so much Shaheen.  Was fantastic to make his team look like a high school team playing Top 20 D-1 team.

I hope they are at the bottom of the conference standings every year. I hate Seton Hall and their obnoxious fans and I'm very glad MU pounded them good today.

Nice comfortable win to finish off a solid week and a half at 3-1.

Not much in the way of team style points today, especially that stretch in the second half when both teams traded turnovers for about 4 minutes.

5 spot jump in KenPom this deep into the season, should slide into the top 10 in NET, top 15 in AP and Coaches Polls.

#1 overall offense. Top 2 team in the BE.

That's Style in my eyes.
More style than I could've ever dreamt of

Something happened when we played them at home and Holloway started talking crap toward Shaka, and Shaka reacted like WTF are you talking about?

Certainly could have squashed it post-game at Fiserv but it was a testy exchange during the game.
