That'd be wild, most on the PC board pretty much saying don't risk playing them
Completely agree. Get them healthy and then go on a rampage in the second half of the conference season.
;D
Always want to play them at full strength but it won't hurt MU's chances tonight. Still won't be an easy game though as the remaining guys may play more loose knowing they will be getting more minutes.
Interesting that their board claims Providence NEEDS both for the next two games. Looked them up and they are home vs DePaul and home vs Butler. I guess going with the mindset of cannot lose either of those bad games and anticipate losing on the road.
Regardless, would rather play Providence at their best.

I think their mindset is that losing @MU is acceptable but losing to either of DePaul or Butler sets them back in the conference race.
Just a fun fact looking into providences stats.
If you look at the whole season. Hopkins is shockingly not close to their most important player, but he has been their go to big game guy. Hopkins had 29 against MU and 27 against UConn. Outside of those games his OffRtging is in the low 90s.
Bynum, Crosswell, and Carter are all just as important if not more.
Noah Locke is coming on strong too.

Yup. Providence has enough to win this game without 1 of them, if both are out it'd be tough for them, but I'm sure they'd still hang around for 20 minutes or so.
Low traffic on their main board. PC fanbase pales in comparison to Scoop.

Is this a quad 1 game?

Lol. Does it go anywhere?
No, sadly. I just should have read the URL before clicking.

It is until we stomp them. Besides getting our revenge, they deserve to be clobbered for having that creepy mascot-the Dominican friar- that looks like it came into the 21st century straight from the Spanish Inquisition in a time machine.

It is Q2. Providence is 36 in the NET. 31-75 @ Home is a Q2 result.
Saturdays game at Seton Hall will be Q1 though.

Thanks. Did not know that. Let's stomp them anyway.

It's so fluid though that (H) Providence could become a Q1 and (A) Seton Hall could drop to a Q2 eventually. Winning the game tonight doesn't lock it in as a Q2 win and it's only really totaled up at the end of the year (though you probably know that).

They have a very active 247 board, most of it behind a paywall

McNamara is the go to guy for Providence updates. He was the one who broke the Hopkins news yesterday. This morning he tweeted that the "Friars will again be limited by injuries". Not sure if that means both are definitely out or if he just means that the injuries will impact their play

Yup, but they probably won't change this week unless there are some lopsided results.
Rumor is that Bynum did not participate in shootaround earlier today but Hopkins did. Seems to point to Bynum being out and Hopkins still being up in the air.
Odd. He's not known as a great leaper under the best of circumstances.
