Nice article. Hopefully not behind a paywall.
Great article. All the time spent in the gym passing to Markus so Markus could shoot is paying off for us. Markus was playing the long game.
Great article. Interesting insight on the type of person Oso is, and pretty cool that he has that relationship with Markus Howard's family.
Intrigued as to whether Oso will expand his game next year to include some of the shooting referenced in the article. Easy to forget he shot 3s in high school. That would seem like a natural progression of his game at the college level and to set him up for the next level.
Exactly, Still.
One particularly salient point is Oso's fitness. Playing a lot of minutes, banging against stronger opponents... he does not seem to tire easily versus other team's big men.
Agree about the conditioning.
When Oso signed, he was considered a 6'9 guard. And he shot 3's in high school.
That was one of the more impressive things about Markus too. Being grabbed and bumped and thrown double teams by opposing teams all game, he never stopped moving off the ball and never seemed to get tired.

Thankfully, Oso didn't catch it from Markus.
Excellent article about two young men
that have ( and are ) excellent players and great representatives of MU.
I really wish some of you would stop taking shots at Howard. I mean ...
All time leading scorer, good student, a leader , a Christian and more. He played and shot a lot , as he was coached !
Give it a rest.

Oso a Wojo slurper, Friends with Markus and his family. I dislike Oso.

They can correct me if I am wrong, but they were not taking shots at Markus, rather those on the team that had issues with Markus.

Context matters. That poster was clearly mocking those who did indeed call Markus a cancer. The poster was a huge Markus supporter.
Thanks to Markus and the Howard family for helping Oso so much. Thanks to Oso for working hard. Thanks to Shaka for giving Oso responsibility and for letting him blossom. And, yes, thanks to our previous coach for bringing him to Marquette and letting him grow as a freshman.
Oso has become a heck of a player and, it sounds like, a great young man. We are fortunate to have him at our alma mater.
82 ...
Thanks for clarifying. My bad if I misread or misinterpreted your prior
post.

Not a problem. Sometimes when you go for snark and don't use teal, misinterpretation happens.
That was a really good article. Shaka is using him well and getting the most out of him. Glad the home folks and the Howard's approve. That could have been an awkward situation if they felt differently and were in his ear to go to another school. Hope he keeps developing under both tents.

Why would the Howards do that? Markus didn't transfer and they're loyal to MU.

If the Howard's thought Wojo got a raw deal with that kind of close relationship to Oso maybe they could have steered him to another school with how easy it is to transfer now.
I love that the Howard's are loyal to MU and not necessarily Wojo. It's awesome to hear. That was my train of thought. Nothing more than that.

I am probably one of the biggest Markus supporters you will find.
