Sun, Jan 15 @ Xavier
Wed, Jan 18 vs Providence
Sat, Jan 21 @ Seton Hall
I'm going to live dangerously and predict 4-1 with the lone loss coming at Xavier in a very close game. I believe in this team more than most, I'm not jaded by the team's lack of success over the last 10 years. I'm ready and living in the success of the team's current state.
No 0-5 option, clearly biased
I think they go 4-1, but would be satisfied with 3-2.

I agree with this analysis. Voted 4-1. Think the loss will come to UCONN at home. I hope we absolutely pummel Providence at home similar to last season.

A physical scoring big man is this team's kryptonite and UConn has one of the best. Look at that StJ's center did and he is no where near as talented. Hard to see us winning against them even at home. At X maybe but still not likely. Be happy with 3-2. Hold serve and get X when they are here and we still end up with a top 3 finish.
Would u rather win 3 by 3 points each and lose two by 12 each
Or
Win 4 by 12 each and lose 1 by 3?
#ScoopQuads
Id be pumped with 3-2 which I think we end up at.
If we go 4-1 or better. I will be ecstastic. And donate $200 to a animal charity of mugsy choosing.
4-1 at worst.
4 - 1. 3 -2 at the worst.
They will at least split UCONN AND X
4 votes for 1-4 - did nolonger create 3 additional scoop accounts?
So looking forward to the Sanogo Clingan front line.

Fk'em. We are quite capable of taking them out with zero mercy.
Clingan has the length to do the same thing to our motion that Edey did. Just stand there and alter shots. Watching UConn target Bynum (before he hurt his ribs) makes me really worry about Sean.

You wouldn't be satisfied if the two losses were Seton Hall and Georgetown.
But I agree with your comment. Let's go for 4-1 or 5-0.

Even then we got 2 Q1 wins as well. And who knows where providence ends up if they keep winning
True.
As a true Warrior fan, there is only one answer:
5-0
The way the upper part of the BE is playing out, MU needs to win four of these games to give themselves a bit of cushion. I realize the second of the schedule is favorable, but I hope they keep the foot on the gas.
Hot take: I'd prefer to win all 5.
Win 2 - bummed out
3 - fine
4 - elated
5 - buy out the bar

4-1 is loony. 3-2 or 2-3 clearly the most likely outcome. But all I really want after years of Wojo abuse is for this team to be peaking in March. We've had good Januarys before.

The Top 5 are really good, the bottom 6 are pretty horrible.
After Georgetown on Saturday, UConn/Xavier/Providence is probably the toughest 3 game stretch we have all season, but 2 of them are at home which hopefully is the difference.
Even the bottom 6 ehhh maybe 5, are capable of showing up and getting wins though. Butler has given Kansas State their only loss. Seton Hall beat Memphis and won at Rutgers.

UConn is still the clear best team in the conference if you ask me, but I have no problem with anyone who thinks differently. Just an opinion. With a healthy Kalkbrenner I still like Creighton a lot as well.

I am so buying what Shaka is selling. I voted 3-2 said I'd be delighted with 4-1 which I still will be (@ X still seems tough). All that said, We Are Marquette. Bring on 5-0.
Funny, on 1/6 I was content with 3-2, now I'd be a little disappointed. ;D

It's clearly the biggest game of the Shaka Smart era. Anyone can win tough games at home. Can he win a big game on the road and take control of the Big East or will his team wilt under the bright lights.
A loss Sunday confirms all our worst fears. Another late season swoon is upon us and we'll have to hope for better jersey combos to combat the pending collapse
Pretty sure its the biggest game since our upset of Georgia Tech.

I guarantee MU won't lose on Saturday.
It now seems clear that Prov, X, UConn, Creighton, and MU are the five best teams in the BE this year. My guess is that the five of them will likely trade home wins and it will come down to which team can get the most road wins. Prov has had the benefit of a favorable home / away schedule so far, but that is about to come to an end since they have to go to Creighton and our place in the next week. X is very tough, and Sunday will be a big test for our guys. It should be a very hard fought, tight game. X will have a very vocal home crowd. They are good fans.
Nailed it.
