Its their style of play that will do them in. Up and down basketball like 'Ville and UConn, and at times MU plays will win this league.
It won't help thier cause if they lose to Syracuse, Syracuse is up 30-12 right now
G-Town looks like Pitt did last night...dazed and confused.
If Syracuse holds on, this opens up another path to a first round bye. SU would be Georgetown's 3rd loss.
Georgetown still plays us and Louisville in their last two games. Assuming we win out--which given our schedule is a realistic possibility--and Georgetown then loses to Louisville, MU gets a bye ahead of Georgetown.
Have to make sure we don't let up against St. Johns.
Georgetown is a Rob Hibbert three-pointer, goaltending call, and bad call verus Nova from actually being a game behind us in the standings.

There's chicos, never too bashful to poke a stick at fellow posters. Gotta love ya man!!
Don't underestimate the 'Cuse vs. MU at home. Atmosphere there will be much like the BC last nite.
Agreed on the game at Syracuse. They could be playing to secure a bid that day. They've got a tough schedule coming up, though. At U of L and at UND the next two games. Get a split of those two, and beat Pitt at home and Seton Hall, would be the case for them to be at the bid-clinching stage that day. Wouldn't be surprised right now if MU wins the next five but loses the finale at Syracuse.
Interesting you mention U of L in the up-and-down category. I actually think they're much more effective this season playing more of a half-court style like they played in the two games against MU. They played up-and-down for the most part against PC today, and had the better players to pull away at the end, but I thought they kind of kept PC in the game because of playing that way.
I don't think Gtown is as good as they were at this time last year. I like UConn and U of L better in terms of their chances to make a run to the Final Four in the NC2As.
it's easy to say they wont win it. Who's the hottest teams in the conference? the teams that are tied with them, uconn & louisville

Georgetown is not in as bad shape as many make them out to be.
Assuming that 1st place is determined by a "mini-conference" of the teams at the top, Georgetown and UL are a game ahead of UConn and ND in the loss column.
ND: 1-2 with a game vs. @UL to play
UConn: 2-2 -- no more games to play
UL: 1-1 -- with two more games vs. @GU and ND
GU: 2-1 -- still to host UL.
If Georgetown beats UL at home, they'll win the mini-conference assuming all 4 teams are tied otherwise.

Really going out on a limb for this one. Smart to wait until 5 games are left to issue this prediction.
