Hey All,
I am living and working a few days a week in the Milwaukee area these days. Any recs for good places to watch MU games when they are on the road? I am a little long in the tooth for campus. I am splitting time between Menomonee and Milwaukee, but am flying solo so I don't mind driving somewhere good.
Also, RIP to my namesake, loved his posts on the board, and the speculation (and his amusement) that he was Father Wild. He clearly was a beloved individual.
Thanks all!
I've heard a lot about the Mecca Sports Bar & Grill lately.
I'll be watching at Champps in Brookfield tonight. Lot of TV's and decent food.

Lol. Seeing that thread already at 3 pages told me all I needed to know about that discussion.
Champp's Americana in Brookfield is right off the freeway and the best place around to watch games. Tons of tv's and a huge menu with good food. Try the hot dry rub wings if you like spicy non messy wings.... they're legit.
Also, DJ's Goalpost in Menomonee Falls is pretty cool. I've only been there once (never for an MU game) and it's a great spot to watch a game as well.
T.V.
I am hitting Champps because of the wings tonight. Big fan of their wings.

How do they rate compared to Points East (and to a lower standard Club G's)?
Galway
Disclaimer---Champps has good wings and am big fan because close to my house and good place to watch games. I have not had Points East in quite some, like Club G's wings but do not love them. My favorite wing place of late is Limanski's in West Allis, but crappy service. I am loyal guy and Elsa's and Goolsby's are high on my list and have been for a long time.
Did the new place open up in Loaded Slate? If so, anyone been?

That's my take on Club G's as well, people promised me points east and I left underwhelmed. I'll have to try these other spots next time I'm up north!
I might be at DJ's tonight. Gotta work on trucks for the doom storm coming in.
Brat House is always a classic. I like Sport Club as well in Cathedral Square.

Yeah, murder inside a while back. Owners kinda threw in the towel a couple months after that.

Dumb question. Points east is hands down the best wings I've ever had.

Yes.
TomKen's and Stenny's are solid, but not even close to Point's.
Watchin' at da crib safe and sound in The Quon, hey?

I've managed to recreate then fairly well. Not perfectly but enough to ease the shakes

The basic recipe is available on Reddit from someone who claimed to have worked there. I've just experimented with brining, a couple additions to the sauce and timing. I've had a decent amount of people over that went to MU and say they tasted extremely similar.

Nice that the basement has room for both a TV and the police scanner.

After Points, I agree that Limanski's is very good. Also up there are Rounding Third and "Knick Style" at The Knick.
