This has gotta be the highest-ranked team that the MU women's team has ever beat, right?
Correct
Texas lead 2-0, MU tried it up at 2-2 and Texas never lead after that ! ! ! Good job Ladies !!!
Is this like the first time we've talked about the women's team on here?

Nope

Good stuff!
Hopefully for their sake, Texas can get back into the Top 10.
At 1-2, Texas will probably fall out of the polls for now.
Fantastic! Congrats to the women's team and coaches!

"Steam" would be a great name for a women's team. So many interpretations.

Their other loss was to top 5 UCONN in the road. And now a neutral court loss. Out of the top 10? Sure. Out of the polls entirely? Hardly. I bet they are still around 15

They'll fall, but probably not all the way out. The other loss was to #5 UConn, who's actually ahead of them in the Coaches' Poll.
For instance, Tennessee started the season ranked #5 and went 1-2 last week. They fell to #11 because both losses were to top-15 teams. The unranked loss might drop Texas a little further, but I'm guessing they'll still be 15-25 range.

I was at the volleyball game following the end of the basketball game on my phone. It was indeed a great night. And it was a great crowd at the Al for the sweep of Creighton.
Go Marquette!!!
Full disclosure, I have not followed the women's team very closely, but I am very happy for the program. My main reason for the post, seeing the highlights of Chloe Marotta sure reminded me of her Dad. The way she runs the court and broad shoulders brought back nice memories of an old friend.

She has been a joy to watch at Marquette - love her hustle and rebounding. She had 19 points and 16 rebounds against UWM last week and is off to a great start today with 13 points and 6 rebounds at the half. I wish her Dad could have seen her and her brother play at Marquette.
Fan
I agree. Marc would have loved seeing his kids at MU. He did not miss many of any of kids sports events and he would have been a fixture at the MU games.
Just beat Gonzaga
Will johnny b post sober?

What a day tomorrow...not sure I'll be able to fit in watching the MU women. Gotta see England play early, then pick up my turkey, volunteer at my local co-op, and be back for the US-Wales game midday. All pre-gaming for MU men!
Work, what's work?
The championship game was switched to ESPN2 from the originally advertised ESPN. Marquette will face UCLA at 11A central tomorrow.

Day, night, dusk, in bed ... Johnny is an equal-opportunity imbiber.
Took #20 UCLA to overtime in the title game. Jordan King (leading scorer for those who don't follow) fouls out less than a minutes into OT and they end up falling by 8. Was a great game. Largest leads in regulation were 7 for MU and 5 for UCLA.
