Just a quick deconstructed Twitter thread explaining why I'll be focused on Kolek's play against Purdue.

This was his shot chart on pick & roll ball handling possessions against Creighton last season. Want to see improvement in this regard.

Kolek is -125 to score over 6.5 points. I would like to see a set or two vs Edey where Oso is passing inside out to him.
We should attack from the right wing (Looking at the screen) and try to get the defender guarding the corner to help, the kick out. Percentages show it was efficient.
Thanks for providing further analysis on what the Big East teams already knew. Kolek shot 37% from two a year ago and is already below that (he shot 51% at George Mason).
I will just add that MU centers were a big cause of this as almost all their shots were at the time or a close in push shot. Oso or Gold need to shoot from the outside to draw the centers out and make them honest. Otherwise it's 3 on 5 again in the paint.
More so, this leads to his higher turnover rate and opponents' break outs (where our transition was putrid down the stretch a year ago).

Great point. We talked about him being too left handed last year and this shows his vulnerability.

Hind site; sorry couldn't help myself.
Real interesting, Andrei. Thanks for posting.
Now I'll be watching for that, too!
