Brewers exercise the option on Kolton Wong for 2023. Good move that feels completely expected.

Yup, I agree. It will be interesting to see what Jean Segura gets - they are reasonably similar players (though Wong is probably a bit better). If the Brewers declined Wong's $10M option it came with a $2M buyout, so when you net it out, $8M is pretty affordable for an everyday starter of his caliber.
It will be interesting to see the pace of free agency this year. The owners are flush with cash.
Dusty Baker signs on for one year, and will return to manage in 2023.
GM James Click still "discussing" an extension...but he may well be gone.
Reports are Jim Crane has been getting advice from Jeff Bagwell and Reggie Jackson...hmmm.
Astros do not exercise team option on 1B/DH Trey Mancini, nor on RP Will Smith. After small buyouts both are free agents
The Whit Sox have a new manager. Seems his resume highlight is that he bilingual. That is bueno, si?
El caca, hey?
Lotta interesting qualifying offer decisions upcoming. The record for most QOs accepted in an offseason is three, and I think we'll at least tie that. IMO Martin Perez, Tyler Anderson, and Joc are all likely to accept. Eovaldi, Bassit, and Nimmo are close calls too, though I think Nimmo is the only one that might end up taking it.
Nimmo is a very good - not great player. But he is the best CF on the market. I could be wrong but I don't think he accepts.

I agree 100%. I think he is a little more likely than Eovaldi and Bassit just because they have had great stretches and pitchers are less likely to take one-year deals given the risks of injury. But you're right that its a weak CF market and Nimmo's on base profile should age well, so he probably declines.
