Is it really only students for this game? It was a fun environment when we played the NIT a few years back. I just can't see the place being full if only students are allowed.

Students only. Marquette has tweeted that the student tickets have sold out. So, based on that I am sure all will show up and pack The Al. ::)
Great experience for those students.

Yeah it's gonna look terrible when there's 1000 people there.
So is the hypothesis that:
1. Marquette is lying about all the tickets being sold?
OR
2. Students did buy all the tickets, but when it's time for the game thousands of them won't show up?

No shows... Depending on college kids.... You do the math.
Do we really think only 1,000 students are going to show up for a basketball in an arena that seats 3,700? Even though they purchased tickets to go? And is much more convenient than games at FF?
That seems...dubious.

agreed. Being at the Al and "students only" will make it seem like a special event, more than a game at the FF. My guess is MU Marketing will be working overtime to make it more than just another basketball game to get students out. Seton Hall, more of a commuter campus that draws fewer students per game than MU, was very successful with its students only game. I see no reason why MU can't get around 3000 to show.

Did students have to buy these tickets separate from season student tickets? Or was this game included in season student tickets?

So it could very easily be half full.
Students suck, long live sweater-vests

Yes.....or it could be filled to capacity.
Students are the worst. We shouldn't even let student play for Marquette's basketball team.
Bump.
MOPE Crew wrong on this one.

Actually, no. It was a separate free ticket. And you didn't have to be a student season ticket holder to get one. Any student could attend.
Let's hope that the kids will bring the energy they displayed last night to the games at Fiserv.

This game was included in student season ticket package. So actually, yes it was included and they did not have to pay for an additional ticket....which is what Wades inquired about.
