If it weren't for those easy rebounds...
Last MU player since Bo to average a double double in a season (yes, I am rounding up 9.7 due to the Wojo adjustment factor). Mo and Jimmy Chones also accomplished that feat.
We wish him the best and hope he does very well.

More than your average Rice Lake HS grad (no offense to Lance Allen).
Henry is slightly better than Joey. That being said, being paid to live in Spain is pretty damn nice.

Uhhhhh what?
Henry was a first round pick that caught a paycheck in the NBA for four years.
Joey Hauser won't sniff the NBA.
They're vastly different in ability.

I'm never sure. He was a Wojo recruit, so some immediately cheer against him, however, he's a white guy from the hills, so 🤷🏼♂️

Depends on the team and the league. Is he in the first league, or like Luke Fischer, a secondary league. One is a nice living, the other, more middle class.
I read the average salary in the Spanish pro league is around $130,000. I think their season includes about 40 regular season games.
But there also can be perks such as housing and a car provided as well.
The salaries for the top end guys is quite a bit better. Ricky Rubio was said to be earning around $17 million per season.
As a general rule of thumb, the top paid Euro players earn about the same as the average NBA player ($7.7 million)
Vasilije Micić is a top player a few NBA teams are looking to acquire from OKC. Including Chicago and Milwaukee.
I believe his annual salary is around $6.6 million.
Monbus Obradoiro is part of the ACB league, which is the top tier league. Didn't see much on the salary front, but he seems to be the big signing for them
Henry would be great on the TBT team
Hopefully he plays in it one year. He's probably only 26 or 27 still
PS: he could bring Wally too

He'd be a huge upgrade from Fischer.

Fischer played for Gran Canaria, who was in Liga ACB, which is the top Spanish league. Not only that, they were a Euroleague club when he was there. He was never in the second division.

I have no idea where you are getting your numbers from. I can assure you Ricky Rubio was never making $17MM at Barcelona before he came to the NBA. I believe his buyout was around $5MM which was one of the largest in European history.
And those other salary numbers are way off. I think Mirotic is the highest paid player in Europe right now and he's making like $4.5MM. Other top guys are maxing at $2-3MM. And thats maybe 15-20 guys TOTAL in all of Europe. Nobody is making close to even mid level exception NBA money in Europe.
Its nice money, and it can also be net salary, which is attractive. But nowhere near what you are claiming.

Henry is in the Spanish A League average salaries in the low 100s . With all the perks house car food on top, life is good. Henry had a mediocre year his first year in Europe. Hopefully he can improve this year. With his size, he should be good for many years in Europe if that is what he wants.

I'd be interested in the value of the perks that are often added into Euro salaries. Housing expenses, other living expenses, all the other frills that get added in. Like you said, net salary definitely increases the value. Be curious by how much, though obviously it varies greatly with every contract, so I'm sure difficult to track.

additionally, they are often paid in cash and exempted from taxes. I had one colleague talk about coming back from playing professional Volleyball in Spain with $60,000 in cash in his backpack and hoping not to get stopped by Customs.
However, there is a decent gap between the haves and have nots in many of the Euro leagues, and for some players, payday is inconsistent, though usually the imports are paid firs.

And the scoopest scoop post award goes to....
Nemanja Bjelica, a former Euroleague MVP, after 7 years in the NBA as an important role player and with 162 starts, signed with Fenerbache for $4m over two years. No way Hank is getting anywhere near that.
Nevertheless I wish him well and hope he can have a long career.
Henry signed for 2 years with Club Joventut Badalona in Badalona, Catalonia, Spain. This is the only team besides Real Madrid to never have been relegated out of the top spanish league. They are usually very competitive and are usually upper tier.
Ricky Rubio played for its youth team as did Rudy Fernandez.
Badalona is a nice sized beach town NE of Barcelona. Gorgeous weather, great food. Dates back to Roman times

See you in prison. Plus the bank has to file a Currency Transaction Report ("CTR") and possibly a Suspicious Activity Report ("SAR") on the amount and if a deposit over $10,000 is made, AML/BSA comes into play.
In this world of transnational drug transactions and money laundering, this is an incredibly STUPID idea.

Who deposits over $10K in cash in a single transaction these days? Even middle schoolers know to break that into a bunch of $5-8K deposits! 8-)

I know a former NBA player who was paid a cash bonus by an owner in Russia after a big win. Came in a gym bag. Not sure what he did with the money after.

Even non commercial flights get checked, not scanned. Guy down here on private charter, a musician, got caught with 40k cash. Supposedly payment for performance, said he forgot the $$ was in his luggage. Got 3 years in Fed and 3 years probation.
