It appears we ran into one of the most lethal 8 seeds in recent tourney memory. UNC is taking Baylor to the woodshed this morning.
There's still time. It's a 13 point game. There should be far more Baylor fans in Ft Worth. Waco is right down the road. It's an embarrassing showing from the Baylor faithful. There are plenty of empty seats in a small arena.

Appears to be the case. UNC beating Duke at Cameron Indoor on Coach K's last game coaching there, no doubt served as a springboard. The talent of UNC is pretty impressive.
Dey ar all at San Padre Island fore Spring break, aina?
MU has no defender in the same league as Leaky Black. He is erasing his opponents from the first two games of the tourney.

I was shocked that the crowd was so sparse at tip. Did Kansas fans buy them all up?

Mayer is a potential first rounder much like Lewis. Neither has looked like an NBA talent against Leaky Black.
Guess UNC is pretty good
Starting to think maybe UNC wasn't your typical 8 seed.
Carolina was on a hot streak going I to the tournament . Since they kicked our butt I would prefer to see them take Baylor out behind the Woodshed as well.
Committee likes to put Marquette against way under-seeded teams.

Manek with a solid elbow to the head. Should be a F2.

Stupid move there.
UNC was seeded exactly where they should have been
Scott Drew sucks. He's basically Wojo 2.0. Gonna lead Baylor to mid-major status. I can't believe how embarrassing this is.
Bacot with the leg sweep. He's lucky they called that a double T. UNC potentially imploding here.
NC looking like a wagon
UNC absolutely crapping the the bed since the Manek ejection.
Yeah getting ugly here
This would be one of the most epic collapses ever. Baylor mucked it up and go into their heads. Without Love or Manek Baylor does have a chance.

.
Now this is funny.
Baylor running out of legs. Have had countless chances to get it under 9 and cant do it.
Think its finally about done now.
Wow...since the Manek elbow the refs have called 10 fouls on UNC and just 1 on Baylor. Questionable at best. Mayer should have been fouled out a long time ago bodying Love across the halfcourt line.

He certainly should have fouled out on that "over and back" on UNC.
This is insane!!
I can't stop watching this game and get back to my painting. UNC...

Sochan is a punk. Referees have been terrible.
I'm not one to mention the officiating often. But this is among the worst I've seen in a while.
That and 1 call was horrendous
Then the ref clearly misses Brown touch the ball, that could be reviewed though.

I agree. I think he's gotten away with a lot of garbage. The refs have not been good the past 10 mins or so.
It's hindsight but Carolina is not a strong ball handling team. Baylor's pressure is forcing turnover after turnover. I wish MU would have tried something early to stymie the UNC momentum. It never happened.

Their starting lineup has great ball handling. And they play their starters a ton of minutes. They have 2 starters out of the game for this stretch.
We're not capable of pressing Ike Baylor. They're much quicker and more physical than us.

Its alot easier to pressure when the refs swallow their whistle
Wow. This is beyond incredible.
With the trouble UNC has had inbounding, I'm not sure using their last timeout here is the best idea.

Well, I'm glad we tried nothing outside the box. That worked beautifully! We weren't winning the game, but a curveball or two would have been nice. Let's go UNC.

We sort of pressed for a bit and it got completely shredded.

The ejection completely turned this game on its head.
I wasn't paying attention to the game after UNC got the big lead. Then I noticed it was down to 6 with a few minutes left in reg, and I started watching. What a finish.
Credit to UNC for getting their composure back in OT. That's not easy to do.
UNC was a very hot team down the stretch and is a threat to keep advancing. They crushed us (as some might recall), and they're good enough to have built a 25-point lead against the defending national champs and top regional seed. Losing both Manek and Love made them vulnerable to a comeback, but something like that probably won't happen again.
Doesn't make our 100-point loss to them any more palatable, but it's not like we lost to a run-of-the-mill 8 seed.

Eh...befor the refs pulled one of the most amazing 10 min I've seen...UNC was up 25...hard to play without your 3 best players...and calls consistently going to Baylor. Shocked that they were able to win in OT.

We should hang a banner. We only lost by 30+ points to the most lethal 8 seed in years. The fact that you're floating about this proves what a woeful state this program is in. Rather than be embarrassed about that humiliating loss, we're gloating that the team that trampled us is the most lethal 8 seed in years.

I recommend staying away from tall buildings man, and not walking over bridges.

So let me get this straight. "It appears we ran into one of the most lethal 8 seeds in recent tourney memory" equates to "literally called UNC the best 8 seed ever"? They have a chance but they'll have to cut down the nets to equal Nova in 1985.
But my point is of course UNC wiped the floor with us. And yes it sucked and was embarrassing. But after watching the last three UNC games I don't think we beat this version of their team more than 1 out of 10 times. Now the job for Shaka is to get us to the level where UNC is playing right now. I believe he can do it and this season was an indication at times of where we're headed and what we can be with better talent. But of course it was also an indication of how much work it's going to take to rebuild a program that was in the trash can a year ago. I'm happy with the progress made over year one but it doesn't meet my expectations for what we should be in the next three years.
If we get blown out of a first round game in 2025, my tone will be markedly different.
I could only imagine this site, if we had gotten St. Peters in the first game.
I do not know if UNC was seeded properly or not, but I do know they are far more talented than MU at the moment. I was not crazy about the matchup and was shocked at how much better than they were than MU. Lot of work to be done in the upcoming weeks and months.

You exaggerate everything. And you equate what one person does or doesn't say with the tone of Scoop in its entirety. Nobody "gloated."
In addition to being a quitter and a liar, you obviously are the one who is obsessed on this subject.
