Title: Shaka Smart and the cult of high standards
Post by: The Lens on March 01, 2022, 08:31:53 AM
I've noticed a different tone out of MU social media this season.  They seem to be embracing challenges and opportunities.  Today's tweet is no exception:

Talk about taking March head-on...

What an outstanding collage

Is that a Shaka thing or just a new marketing thing?

Shaka is very involved in marketing/social.

That's kinda irrelevant to the OP though isn't it? No matter what level of success we had this season, that poster was going to be sent out March 1st, no?

The post is much less relevant if Marquette isn't in the tournament discussion. But yes understand your point.

I guess I'm more so confused by the proposed messaging, because the thread is titled "Shaka Smart and the cult of high standards", but then the OP talks about the marketing material. I'm sure Gtown could put something together celebrating the start of March and their history in that month (using material as recent as last year). I'm just unsure exactly what the proposed topic of conversation is.

I can 100% guarantee you that if Wojo or TC were the head coaches, we wouldn't see this collage.

We'd at least have a Charleston Classic Championship Game banner, tho
