Morsell.
Then probably Stevie for getting us the momentum we needed. No real great individual performances today.
Stevie. Helped us find our pulse.
Stevie
Slam dunk - Stevie
Stevie.
Stevie.
Morsell was the SOTG.
Stevie was the momentum changing player of the game.
Stevie
Every player was well, lethargic and stale.
With MU down five, Mitchell hit three and then had a steal on next possession.
Changed entire game. So, Mitchell
OSO!!!!
Stevie got the groove goin'
Definitely Stevie!

Really want to say Stevie, he was the spark. On balance, and considering 40 min., gotta go with 32.

Exactly.
Stevie.
Game was won on the defensive end. Stevie was the defensive spark. Stevie.

I'd typically agree with you but I honestly don't think we win today's game if Stevie doesn't come in and change the momentum.

Agreed we don't win without Stevie, but Morsell was the best throughout the game. His 3 was really the play that separated us.
I do think the players will vote Stevie for domino of the game though. I don't think that equates to mvp of the game.
Stevie was the spark.
Probably Morsell, but Stevie changed that game and we lose without the spark he provided.
Stevie or Ighodaro as this game was won by changing the defensive tone.
Stevie - totally changed the momentum of the game.

None of TK/DM/JLew had a big game today. Stevie turned the game around and deserves SOTG.

STEVIE ! ! ! 8-)
Mitchell.
Is there a difference between the Stud of the Game and the Spark? Stevie was definitely the spark but at only 11 minutes played, hard to say he was the Stud. I'd go Morsell with an honorable mention to Stevie. Liked Oso out there too
I'm surprised no love for Oso for SOTG. Did Kur even play the second half after his rough start? The numbers in the box score aren't there but he seemed to play a solid second half when we didn't really have an effective sub for him.
My guess is our oligarchs will select 32.
MU went with OMP and Lewis in the second half when Oso needed a breather. Kur, other than his two baskets, was bad today.

Despite being pushed around. I mentioned in the game thread, his D in the second half was huge.
Did everything. Strips. Blocks. Deflections. Perimiter D that forced Butler into panicked shots.
Stevie forsure. Single-handedly got the crowd back into the game as well.
Stevie...BECAUSE he played only 11 minutes and still managed to be the key in turning a possible loss into a win.
Honorable mention to Oso.

Yeah, this. Big fan of Stevie, but 11 minutes does not the Stud make.
Stevie! He will have a great future under Shaka.

It's time to discuss this further (I'm assuming that the mods actually DO have the final say). I would honestly like to hear why the mods believe it's OK to overrule the voters.
I think Morsell was the guy who held it together for MU. Stevie played well and changed the course of the game, but Morsell gets my vote.

We aren't "voters", we're fans sharing our opinions. Those opinions are considered when Rocky makes his final choice but they're not binding.
Merge with the other SOTG thread

Putinish, hey?
Stevie. Brought the crowd back into the game as well.
Side note, crowd seemed totally dead. Every time I wanted to stand up and yell nobody else did so I had to sit back down not to block anyones view
Without Stevie there most likely isnt a thread for SOTG......so it must be him.
I'm not one who tries to find a counter to the top scorer, or who pushes for a guy who gets lots of SOTGs.
But it's not as if Morsell had some incredible statistical game - 16 pts on 5/11 shooting; 4 reb, 2 assists, 2 steals - and he went scoreless in the first 10 minutes of the second half. His 3 was big, but Lewis' dunk was the shot that everybody's talking about.
So I'll nominate Mr. Stevie Mitchell, whose stretch of play from the 12:51 mark to 5:40 mark completely turned around the game and put us in front to stay.

Didn't feel that was to me. Not like a game vs. Nova or other top team, but strong crowd and good student section I thought.
Stevie probably.
Also want to shout out Morsell for being the rock and Oso for playing what felt like the whole game due to Kur's struggles.

Me too. I'm also hoping that there is a need to name someone
after Wednesday.
I wish they would decide. I hate logging on and seeing "No stud when we lose" on the left side of my screen.

Don't let it happen again, or I won't keep ponying up for the Scoop Titanium program!
