Go Marquette!

When Wojo teams played in a game they couldn't afford to lose, it felt like all the players were waiting for something to go wrong and the fans were waiting to complain.

I get the sense that these guys aren't playing with fear.  They are just playing.  That should bode well moving forward.

They will continue to jack up the threes, that's the system.  Go in, they win but hope it's not like a 3 for 15 half.  On their way to that, some threes not even hitting rim.

Morsell terrible, like on another planet bad with turnovers Been on bench awhile.

Offensive rebounds again. Ugh

And Elliott drains one, then takes another miss from logo, then hits another.  Like I said that's the system.

Dante Harris just smoking Kolek.  Shaka brings in Mitchell, who completely shut him down in probably a six minute run.  Complete shutdown and MU went on the run.

Shaka sits Mitchell at two minute mark with Kolek, and Harris immediately drains one.  Just too quick for Kolek, great coaching by Shaka.

Four?....

That was six points in seven minutes for MU. Terrible, Shaka had that lineup in too long.  26 point lead to 15.
Now to 13
Just pitiful.

Donny Marshall saying just now during the Marquette game that Collin Gillespie separated himself as the Big East Player of the Year just pissed me off.

Justin Lewis is the clear front runner.

We haven't played well since the 17 min mark of the 2nd half.  A bit concerned about Morsell.  We desperately need this guy to find his game thr closing stretch of the season.

How about Gillespies 0 point game against St. Johns in 26 minutes?

Or his 10 point game in a loss to Marquette.  How about his 5-15 shooting day in his 2nd loss to Marquette?

Justin had 33, 9, and 6 at Seton Hall.  Justin had 27 and 9!!! against Butler just a few days ago.  It's not close.

How disgusting is it that there's a Big East team that hurts your metrics when you win by 11 ?

Kam and Darryl both hardly played in the 2nd half.  Shaka lighting a fire under Darryl before they hit the road for their final Q1 opportunity.  Love it.

doesn't seem to be the recruit he was hyped to be. Thought he had more game on the offense side. Lots of upside, however

He's 18 right now in a league with a 25 year old.  He's been one of MU's best on ball defenders when he gets minutes and he is really good at cutting to the basket.  He's gonna be fine.  He'll be a nice change of pace for Kolek moving forward.  Kolek runs the show offensively and Stevie will be there to get in your face when Kolek gets a rest.

Morsell tweaked his ankle and was limping after his charging foul in the first minute of the game.

I wonder if that had anything to do with his poor performance and bench time.

I watched him shoot quite a while after getting into Hinkle early for the Butler game. Very inconsistent and low percentage from 3 even in a shootaround setting. I like his game and he satisfies his role this year, but I would hope they would do some serious work on his form this offseason.

Agree on the work on his form. I really like his scrappiness on defense but he's prone to freshman mistakes, often resulting in fouls. I see a lot of upside with him.
