Yet another post talking about how the next game is the biggest of the year.
Honestly though, I think Saturday at Hinkle is the biggest game for Marquette before the NCAA tournament.
Why? Well to keep it simple, I think a win leads to a solid finish and top 5/6 seed, whereas a loss can let some doubt creep in and snowball into the 8/9 seed range or lower.
It's not an easy game either. None of the remaining ones are, don't be fooled. It's the Big East.
Huge one on Saturday.
We certainly need to bounce back from this. Let's win out!

Vital, vital , game Dr. V. I fully expect we will bounce back.
I'd very much prefer a Marquette victory to the alternative.
Win Saturday, beat Georgetown at home. Tournament bid locked up by Next Wednesday.
Marquette should be motivated after the loss, unless Butler is motivated more....

We didn't lose tonight because we were out-motivated.

I think he's messing with people 82. Seems like sarcasm to me.
I mean, just go at least 4-2 rest of the way. Who cares which games. Be in decently in tournament

This is a celebratory night so I hate to run this again but I stumbled on it looking for my 6-6-6 post to close cycle on that one and boy did it serve true.
MU fell from 5/6 range to 8/9 range in a heartbeat.
That said, win one in NY and my take is MU gets a 7- brew might not agree but I like the meat of MUs resume, don't think it deserves an 8/9 seed line with all those Q1s.
I mean if I'm a 1 seed and I see a second rd matchup versus an MU team than beat Nova 2x and Providence by 100 I'm not crapping my pants, but I'm also pretty damn upset.
Especially if it's in Indy, then I'm really not thrilled.
In all honesty Marquette is better than an 8/9 seed and I hope they prove it in NY

I keep saying it. As far as the 7/10 or 8/9 is concerned its all about the heavy weight we draw.
Give me that 8 all day if we got a shot at Baylor in game 2 should we win.

You have said this several times. Ive seen Baylor play several times this year.
They are a fantastic team. 7-0 vs top 10 teams going into today....and this is the team that you long for? I get it, we will likely play a top 8 team in our 2nd game.....but I dont share your exuberance that we'd be so lucky to play Baylor.

Yes. They are injury riddled and dont have dominant size.
Arizona will throw bigs at us. Gonzaga. UK. Auburn.
Im not terrified of Kansas and Duke this year but still would rather Baylor than them.
We cant be having guys like Tschiebwe playing volleyball until til score.
