It's a match up of two Minnesota natives, former #mubb big men today in Chapel Hill.
Who you got?
My money is in Theo. I feel like he'll affect the game more than Dawson will. Also defense travels.
Has Dawson returned to UNC?

Hubert Davis confirmed that he will not be back for this game.
UNC is 0-6 in Q1 games.

Does he get to keep his NIL money?

There is some curiosity from me why certain transfers get treated with more reverence than others. It's a mystery
I think Theo will get the best of Dawson today on the scorers sheet.
#quitters, hey?

Nah, coach who recruited them gets fired. Perfectly okay to find greener pastures. Also Theo was not good as a starting center.

I bet Dawson doesn't do a thing against Theo
#DefenseTravels
To watch what we coulda, not necessarily shoulda had is wasted energy. Not sure either woulda fit in well with our gang but if I had to choose, I'd say theo cuz he's a hustler and a go getter. More Shaka kind of guy
But yes #quitters and #AWOL

Better to play for the King than the Prince
Theo wore the jersey with pride and gave max effort. He's an alum, he's part of the family, and I'll always root for him.
Dawson strung the process out this summer when he clearly had no intention of returning. I could not care less about how his career progresses.
I enjoyed Theo as an ambassador for our program. Glad he landed somewhere he can get a great graduate degree and a chance to win. He obviously didn't have a role in a Shaka system.
Dawson might have thought too highly of himself in retrospect.

This. Also why I cheer for Jamal. Koby, etc.
Also players who were maybe over their heads here and transfer down get a pass. Life is short, if they want to play rather than sit on a bench for 4 years, more power to them.
Exactly. They had all given their all to MU and chose to move on after a coaching change. I do not begrudge any of them any success they have going forward.
It would seem from the outside that Theo has settled into exactly the role that he would have hoped for at Duke when he was contemplating his options last spring. The team is having success, he looks good in his limited run, and I think playing at Duke's 133rd ranked pace of play suits his game much better than Marquette's 44th would have. Impossible not to be happy for him.

Right on Jamal, I think he woulda fit in well. We could see Oakland at the dance eyna?
A 2 seed vs. a bubble team. Pass

I started this thread bc I feel like our winning of late has taken our eyes off the prize. We weren't Scooping Hard Enough. We were doing the easy posts. I was nervous we were become softer than Ice Cream served from an Ice Cream Truck on a hot summer day.
But the results of this post show me that when we need to we can Grind Together & Shine Together. We Scooped pretty hard above. Everyone played their role and guarded their man (or Chick).
Well done everybody. It's reassuring to see that even in the face of winning we can still be petty and ridiculous. Scoop On.

I'm sure Dawson & DJ Carton text often about how if they were still at MU we'd be Top 5 instead of just Top 15. Couple of winners.

Get over it and cheer the guys who are here now. Players transfer. Players turn professional. Coaches change jobs and so does just about everybody else in this country.

lol. Theo John is one of my favorite #mubb players. Same with Sam Hauser. I have zero issues with transfers and player movement.
It's a message board buddy.
