This is a pretty flattering opinion of MU and its leading scorer.

A bit optimistic about us. Like to think he is right and HOPE we are that good.
That said, not sure I buy it. Yet.
On his podcast with Parrish he pretty constantly talks about how his "power rankings" are a "what have you done for me lately" ranking and not a "who are the best teams in basketball" or "who has the best resumes in basketball" ranking.
Hold your horses - I was assured by the basketball know-it-alls on this board that:
1) results don't matter this year
2) Shaka is not trying to win this year
3) this year is about process above all else.

He actually says it right in the article under the Sparty section:
"My rankings are biased toward winning streaks and recent performance more than entirety of résumé"
Amazing how long coaches last at Purdue

All those things can still be true. Shaka is just that good.
It's all fluff, but I like being ahead of the Badgers.

???
What has Painter done other than win? He had 2 weird down years like 8 years but otherwise he's been consistently good. Not always elite, but top 4 in conference and tourney wins and now has a legit F4 contender
