Despite losses, pollsters keep MU in play
Marquette dropped out of the Associated Press Top 25 Monday because more than 40 writers (http://pollspeak.com/pollstalker/pollstalker.php?r=T&s=3&p=3&w=15&t1=122&t2=0&v=185) failed to put Marquette in the poll.
However, even with two losses last week, 27 voters included MU on the ballot. That gives you an idea how strong the national media feels the Big East is.
Marquette did stay in the CBS Sportsline poll (http://www.sportsline.com/collegebasketball/polls/top25). Gary Parrish ranks them 24th and writes: A lot of teams would take two losses if Louisville and Notre Dame were on the schedule in the same week.
Looking ahead to Friday's matchup with No. 22 Pittsburgh...Andy Katz and Adrian Branch already picked the Golden Eagles to win on ESPNU's Inside the Polls show Monday night.
