Looking forward to watching this team play. Has anyone heard of a stream from Marquette or any other way to watch this game on Thursday? Thanks.
Marquette hasn't announced anything - may be radio stream only. But maybe MUTV will come through...

From what I've heard, MUTV has been told they are not allowed to stream it. Though I'm not sure of any rule that actually says that.
If I had to guess, it won't be streamed but you will be able to listen to it via radio on MU's app.
One can only hope...

That's the spirit, I hear the new iphone can capture cinema quality video. Someone with good seats and unlimited data needs to take care of us!
You can listen to the game on 94.5 FM Radio

But still hoping for some video :)
how anyone can actually listen to a radio broadcast of a basketball game is beyond me.

Some of us used to watch paint dry and grass grow back when there were only 3 or 4 channels on the TeeVee

Lmao how young are you? Anyone who's been stuck in traffic during their commute on an east coast game day has likely listened to the game on the radio.

Maybe Jump Around guy though the whiplash/blur may induce severe headache
Listening to Homer is ok, I've done during commutes as soon mentioned and while out run/hiking
Go Quette!!

Touche. Sounds like a terrible way to take in a basketball game.

What's "stuck in traffic"?

That's when you have houseguests and they're blocking the stairs to your "office".

There were many a days where that was the only option. And depending on where you lived, in some cases getting a good radio feed was a feat of engineering.

Really? I think Homer does pretty good... Tony though has a lot to work on. His timing is often real bad and the times when you actually want to hear him break down a basketball situation or topic, he's often doesn't provide anything of value. Like the guy, but radio isn't his forte.
I liked Mac even if Buzz didn't!

Hah, I remember a day (likely 2001 or 2002) hanging out at a friends apartment in Ohio, and using their dial-up connection (?) to get the radio stream of a game. I sat on the floor of their bedroom listening (very few had laptops then...) to the radio stream from his desktop.

I remember the days of Sports Phone or waiting for a cold day so the radio signal from TMJ would skip to Chicago. I was excited when WSEX in Arlington Heights joined the MU network although it's listening area was about 2 miles. Luckily, my college roommate lived within that radius so we could listen over break.
I think the last game I listened to on the radio where I wasn't stuck in traffic was 2012-13 against UWGB. I was already home for winter break and it was blacked out in Chicago plus there weren't any illegal streams. God that was awful but probably better than having to watch that trash.
Anyone here ever put on the radio cast over the actual game to avoid listening to FS1 announcers?

I'm seriously thinking of doing this not only for some FS1 games but other networks as well. I'm really tired of the announcers talking too much about BS and saying too little about the action on the court. Then there are the split screen interviews while the game is in progress. I
hate those!

Huh?
Been listening to basketball games since I was a kid. A lot depends on the quality of the announcer describing the action.

Done it a couple times. Hard to sync up but it's definitely a better experience

What?
What's better than a bowl of chili, an old fashioned and some dickie Simpkins on a cold January evening.
I remember listening to Marquette vs. Idaho State in the 06-07 season opener. Also the game@Valpo the same season. The game @USF that season was on some wonky scoreboard feed, IIRC.
Haven't listened to a game on the radio since that season.

I wouldn't think that station would carry basketball!

My parents have been doing this for years. They love listening to Homer (although they admit he's lost a step since his car wreck). They also regularly do this for Packer games to avoid having to listen to Troy Aikman and Joe Buck, or even worse, the 3rd or 4th network team. They have a sync device, but I'm sure it would be easy to sync if you have a DVR.
So there's really no way to watch this?

Back in the day all we had in many cases was the radio play by play . The announcers did a great job of describing the action.
The Knicks radio with Walt Frazier on color was absolutely can't miss radio.

Not related to the MU game, but I actually really like the new Bucks radio play by play guy. Does a really good job and definitely has the voice for a radio play by play guy.

Damn. That was a juke by Kam. Wish he'd hit the trey.
Looked out of control a for the last 3 minutes. LOTS of frosh/frosh-adjacent mistakes.
