Gotta say Kstate is a bit of a let down. Winnable I guess at least.

I'd say more than a bit... :(
It seems like we always get stuck playing the same teams repeatedly in these matchups. K State in this, Purdue in the Gavitt games.

Kstate was a home and home that we set up before this event was a thing.
But still, shoulda been something they could easily consider to not do it again immediately.

Right but then they decided it'd be a part of it as it was already scheduled. So it's weird that they elected to run it back.
Shoulda just given us Texas and be done with it

DePaul is the odd man out.
The matchups for the 2021 Big 12-Big East Battle have reportedly been decided. CBS Sports' Jon Rothstein released the 10 matchups on Tuesday afternoon, noting that dates and times are yet to be determined. Below are the reported matchups for the event:
Villanova at Baylor
UConn at West Virginia
Kansas at St. John's
Texas at Seton Hall
Texas Tech at Providence
Butler at Oklahoma
Iowa State at Creighton
Xavier at Oklahoma State
Marquette at Kansas State
TCU at Georgetown
We became a bottom feeder under Wojo so it's only fair we get the equivalent from the Big12. It'll take some time to get the more premier matchups.
IMO, kind of a miss to not put us against Texas though.

Malek Harris - a Buzz recruit IIRC who looked like he had tremendous upside - didn't he commit to MU and then not get in with rumors of some awful behavior?

Only if you consider arson to be awful behavior

Less arson, more battery given it was a person he was setting on fire.
He also got kicked off of K State too when we committed there.
Have we moved on from Beasley and the closed scrimmage that cost us a seed line? I lose track.

Not rumors dude set a girls hair on fire. Classes aren't usually that lit at sandburg so it was a big deal.
There's a rumor going around that the NCAA plans to hammer Kansas for infractions by forcing a schedule change for them to play at DePaul.

such a letdown. St. John's hosts KU to open the Islanders new arena on Long Island. Nova gets the defending national champs. We get to travel to Manhattan, KS.

I am sure they will be a lot of hype around the fact that Bruce Weber is from Milwaukee.
If not Texas, I was hoping for Oklahoma for obvious reasons.
Instead ... meh.

Kansas State will always have a good crowd. Georgetown might get 6,000 to host TCU.
