That's a heck of a job. I would bet that's a top 3-5 job in women's hoops.

It's interesting, it's not historically a great job, Mulkey literally created the program and all the success that it had. I'm trying to think of a comp on the men's side.
But there certainly is an established base that she can build off of and continue. Top 3-5 recent program, not sure if it's a top 5 job.
I will say, not knowing exact numbers, she's likely getting a hefty raise to move to Baylor. I'd be shocked if many, if any, WNBA coaches makes 7 figures

Best comp on the men's side I can think of is Jerry Tarkanian at UNLV.

That's an interesting comp but Baylor's in a Power 5, so there seems like staying power.
And yes Wags, she's definitely getting a raise.
UCONN?

Lute Olson at Arizona is a good comp. Which doesn't bode well for her successors.
UConn before Calhoun got there is what I thought of. U of A wasn't the same pre-Lute as from mid-80s to 09, but weren't terrible. UConn wasn't much at all before the 80s.
How about Baylor right now, on the men's side?
Georgetown and JT Sr.?

Yeah...that's a better comp.

There we go, bingo. Well done
Baylor under Scott Drew?

That's the one I thought of as well. I was surprised to see how much success they actually had before he arrived, but most of it was in the 1950s and 60s, decades before he arrived.
