Baldwin SR to DBO? 8-)
I kid. REALLY excited about this coaching staff and what it can do. Appears to be a really good mix of recruiting prowess, coaching experience, and player development.
Can't wait.

Ben Steele is tweeting out some great articles about DeAndre Haynes. I'm so excited to have a guy like that on staff.

There's a ton of great stuff out there on Haynes. I've been reading up on him the last week and he really sounds like a kindred soul to Shaka.
Are there any known recruits tied to these guys? Secondary to getting good coaches and voices in the room, but just curious if this foreshadows anything.

Some thoughts out there that Darryl Morsell could follow Haynes to MU.

His Michigan & Maryland tenures bode very well for our future, I think Haynes is an amazing hire
Wonder how much impact Haynes had behind the scenes in keeping Lewis here. I'm sure he knew him from Maryland.
Anyone else see some cheesy 2000s cop movie here or is that just my mind?

Haynes - Undercover Officer
Hatt - Seedy Boston guy into some shady stuff
Nevada - Evil boss guy
Wow - impressive! Could we have asked for a better three weeks on the job from Shaka? That's a strong staff of assistants. Strong talented managers bring in strong talented people to help them get their job done better. Great start!
Do we have a video coordinator?

Haha this made me laugh. Well done
In Shaka We Trust. What a freakin' week!

I dunno. There was one Scooper who insisted that Lewis was gone. And then when his post was taken down, he cried like an infant.
I think it's safe to say, before arriving here as coach, Shaka had a plan in his mind on his staff make-up and roster targets and then went all in.

100%, and as an initial skeptic, the types of moves he made this week are literally exactly what I wanted to see him do. Amazing, I love it!
Overall, this staff looks like a huge upgrade. Probably a big increase in total salaries as well. Very impressed with Shaka's approach to putting this together and admin's commitment to basketball.
While it might be a increase, I don't think it would be enormous. Remember that Wojo hired Killings, Gainey Johnson off other P6 staffs. You can't do that without dropping $$$.
Marquette has shown a willingness to make these investments in the past. I think this is a continuation of that trend.
Shaka, a couple days ago, tweeted out Diener's TBT buzzer-beater. I know I shouldn't put too much stake in tweets, but I have been expecting him to take a role on Shaka's staff.
He tweeted that out after the Kolek signing. A handful of people are saying he has similar drive to Diener. Gym rat, tough, high intensity, etc.

While that was meant to be a Kolek comparison, I would say this wouldn't completely surprise me. A month ago I would've said no shot in hell.

There is no such thing as a buzzer beater in the TBT. ::)

The "legacy" guys seem to be Cam Marotta and Todd Smith.
