Not who do you think it will be, but who do you want to be the next coach. This assumes Beilin and Matta are not interested.

Matta was never an option, and sadly the Beilein chatter seems to have gone silent.
Still like Becky Hammons.

Hammon will be an NBA coach, no reason she'd look at college. Frese or Gottleib would be more likely picks.
Any of the above. Panic sets in after those though.

Yea. I can get myself excited for any of those options.
Who do I want as the next MU coach? Nate Oats.
Will that happen? Absolutely not.
Of this group, Gates.
And his $600k buyout has to be pretty attractive to the administration.
If this is the group in consideration, then it's Moser, without question.

Of the four listed, he would be my last choice. But I'd be happy with anyone on this list
Beilein and Moser are tied for top choice. Followed by a tie between Gates and Shaka. Followed by Smith and Pitino.
Has Beilien ship sailed ?
I heard MU was going to approach
Him ?
I would like Moser

Don't believe Moser will leave Loyola. Loyal to him by signing him after a not so great first try as head coach..he'll be loyal back. Been there 10 years you know. Would have moved by now if he wanted. The GREAT success has been the last 2 of 3 years of ten. It's in Chicago, family is settled, home and not looking for a poor house by any means.. think he'd consider DePaul first but won't go there either....
Just mt thoughts... We need to look elsewhere instead of the recent "hot" guy.

That sounds a lot like what we were saying about TC right before IU called.

Sounds like Shaka and Gates are neck-and-neck, Shaka is a distant 3rd, Beilein is out because of the "coach in waiting" clause, and Craig Smith doesn't want to leave Utah.
Moser. Marquette needs a really good coach who would not be sizing up his next gig a year or two into the job which is exactly what I think we would get with Gates. Moser's age and likelihood of being in for the long haul are a plus. Hiring 41 year old hotshot Gates is just playing with fire.

I'm not sure if you are funning, but Pitino is not in the running and I don't believe Beilein is close to the top spot at the moment.
Shaka, Craig Smith close #2
