Terrific actor passed away at 81.
He often deserved bigger roles than he was given. Had supporting roles in "Brubaker" "Midnight Run" James Bond etc...but was well known for his role as Al "G" Giardello on the television series "Homicide: Life on the Streets," which was based on David Simon's book, in Baltimore. It was the show before "The Wire." It's difficult to find but worth a watch.
He was terrific Agent Alonzo Mosely in "Midnight Run."
Was also great in Alien.
And, right on time, David Simon gives his first reaction:

Absolutely. One of the funnier movies of its time.

You mean Agent Foster Grant?
Blue Collar does not get the recognition it should.
