Good news:
https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/vaccines/fully-vaccinated.html
I saw this. Good stuff.
It's exactly as a few of us were saying in other threads: As soon as most folks have been vaccinated, and assuming that new variants are going crazy, we'll be able to get close to "normal" again.
It is great that CDC is providing clear and reasonable guidance. And for fully vaccinated folks who just 'want to live their lives,' they can...with other fully vaccinated folks, kids, grandkids, etc.
A reasonable balance between safety and progress toward normalcy.
Exactly.
Of course, it still recs social distancing and masks when around unvaccinated or in public.
This is great news! Got 9 vaccinated friends and one friend who had Covid a couple months ago so with this maybe there'll be some semblance of a St Patrick's Day party next weekend!

This is exactly why mask ordinances and social distancing must be maintained until everyone that wants a vaccine has had an opportunity to be vaccinated.

When you're with friends, you ask them.
When you're in public, you're in public.
When you aren't sure, you wear a mask.
You're welcome.
I will continue to do it out of common courtesy. It is the polite and correct thing to do. What other reason do you need, rocket?
But I got MY shot. Science says I am fine. Why should I have MY valuable freedoms taken from ME?!
Right now my friends and I, and various family members, are all keeping each other updated on our vaccines. So I know which of them have been and which haven't. I'm not yet at this point planning any indoor dining or going to bars. Anyone I don't know the status of, I will assume they haven't been and act accordingly.

You're fun!
Is dat wut Q told ya ta say, oona?
I traveled to a baseball tournament near Cincinnati this weekend. Some of the Michigan contingent were the only ones wearing masks. It was funny that all of the families on our team that have had COVID (one dad twice) were the ones wearing masks. The Ohioans were Ohioans. Got to have dinner with my cousin and her family. They all had COVID in January. It is kind of a morbid game, comparing symptoms, smelling ability, tasting ability, recovery, stamina.
Came back to work yesterday and worked with a 28 year old rookie who was hospitalized with COVID last fall. Describing his symptoms. The terrors of waking up unable to breathe and thinking about his 4 month old son and wife. Still can't breath or taste normally since September. Secondary ailments that caused him to have to back into the hospital after partially recovering.
Yep. A socialist plot. Wear the damn mask for a while longer.
And I have never stopped living my life.

Is the bit just becoming real at this point? I don't really can't tell honestly.
It isn't a bit.
If you had one that said vaccines cause socialism, that would be more apt.

Let me login to my mom's Facebook account. I'm sure there's something in there.
They throw around terms like "socialism" and "communism" but have no idea what they actually mean.

Biggest pet peeve is when people take someone who says "I could support democratic socialism (Canada, England, Ireland, France, etc) then they scream communist. Because you know there's no difference between supporting socialist programs and essentially being a Marxist ::)

I'm not asking any friends/neighbors/employees/strangers whether they are vaccinated, or plan to be. None of my business. Don't care.

Does your philosophy of individual freedoms extend to legalizing all drugs?

It's certainly fine if you choose not to ask.
Just be aware that your decision gets you to "when you aren't sure, wear a mask."
I'm good with that. Wearing a mask just isn't a huge deal for me.
