We literally do not lose when GE hits double figures.
So naturally, lets get him those corner 3s all next week.
4 more GE double figure performances and we can dance.
Seriously though, he's become a true spark and kid can really shoot. I hope he has a really key role next year. We need shot makers.

It's not a bad correlation, though I *might* argue his 3pt shooting is what's important. When MU has a 3pt scoring threat (or multiples) this year, they have a good chance of winning because it opens up the lanes for Theo/Dawson/Lewis/Carton. MU actually has a pretty good "inside/out" game when the out is clicking. When the out doesn't hit, MU is largely screwed.
Greg also had a couple nice drives today too. Don't want to discount those. He goes very wide on them, but is hitting consistently now too.
edit: and despite what I just said, I looked to see that MU was 4-14 on 3s today. But at least Greg was 2-3 :)
Greg Elliot has been this year's most pleasant surprise to me.

Agree, especially in the second half of the season. It's been nice to see a spring in his step and a smile on his face. He seems like a leader out there. And those 3s he has hit have been huge in several games.

Your points are spot on. I love Greg's attitude on the court. The 4-14 includes a couple of, um, questionable 3 point attempts by Garcia late in the game but hey, stats are stats.
7-0 is worth pointing out and significant to our team success. GE has been our only consistent 3pt shooter. It's been a big problem for us that our other perimeter players have struggled so much, especially Carton. Hopefully they go down in the BET.

Yeah ... what was that pull-up 3 by Garcia just 12 seconds into the shot clock with 2 minutes to play and us up 3? Freshman!

I literally jumped off the couch and was screaming WTF! Agree. That was a freshman mistake.

Agree. Makes it frustrating that we haven't seen more of him as the season has progressed.

Minutes for Elliott last 6 games: 17 ... 28 ... 31 ... 25 ... 29 ... 19.
That's 25 mpg.
Not sure how many minutes you were expecting from a role player who is limited defensively and who has had injuries.
There were some games earlier in the season in which I thought he should have played more, and Wojo even criticized himself for one of those games IIRC. But as the season has progressed Greg HAS played more. I mean, 25 mpg, plus he became a starter. That's not nuthin'.
