Title: KenPom
Post by: The Lens on February 08, 2021, 10:42:19 AM
As I type this, our KenPom number is 77.  Wojo's work here is complete.

Question, do we raise a banner?

ps I still don't know how to paste photos into posts

Normally, I'd say we're doomed. But we're 3-2 in conference on the road this season and 2-6 at home. Apparently the shooting lines at the Fiserv are worse than the ones at the Bradley Center

I love your optimism, but...

Reality sucks.

I'm less concerned about the road, and more concerned that 3 of our next 4 games are against Nova, SHU and UConn. And of course we always seem to make the DePaul games 'interesting.'

If my arithmetic is correct, we havent won 3 in a row this year. In my personal definition we have not had a winning streak all year. Looking at the remaining schedule we could easily lose out. This was discussed in another thread, but i never root for an MU loss. I just cant bring myself to do it. But man, this would really be high marks in the case to fire wojo.

You cannot have a winning streak when you key players are very inconsistent.

Steve Wojciechowski (13), Marquette. He looked like the golden hire who would sustain the work of Tom Crean and Buzz Williams, but the follow-through hasn't been there. In late February 2019, Marquette was 23–4 and ranked in the top 10. Then the Golden Eagles went flat the rest of that season and haven't recovered. Record since then: 28–28, as a prized pair of twins transferred. Wojo is now 9–10 in Year 7, with two NCAA appearances and no tourney wins to date."

Well you could...it just makes things really hard.

If Koby turns the ball over in a completely empty FF did it actually happen?

Yeah, I'm going to put a lot of faith in the analysis of a guy who thinks Sam and Joey are twins.

I guess he reads SCOOP and saw the error in his ways, as it now reads " as a prized pair of brothers transferred."  ! ! !  8-)
