Again, this is the time we were supposed to be able to get the games in. Students are off campus, etc. etc. etc.
Darn, I was hoping we would escape with zero delays this season. 12 straight uninterrupted games (assuming UConn is still on for tomorrow) is a better start than I thought we would get.
Methinks it would be fine if this one found no make up date.
Are BE teams already scheduling make up games? I haven't paid attention because it didn't affect MU until now
That enormous gust of wind you just felt was Wojo breathing a sigh of relief.
But seriously, that sucks. After the long layoff before Georgetown, I was looking forward to going back to two games a week. Guess we've been lucky to not have any postponed until now, though.

Yeah I'm ok with not rescheduling this one unless we get them short handed without Jay right after having covid.

the BE built-in open weeks for makeup games.
Marquette should look to move up one of the DePaul games. DPU loses a game with Nova as well. Playing each other Thursday would allow for more schedule flexibility later.

Not a bad idea. Also no risk for MU since everybody affiliated with Depaul has already caught it.

And honestly, I'd rather play DePaul now than at the end of the season. They look like that classic "F up your bid/seed at the end" team.

Honestly, I kinda find this to be a nice respite. It helped Seton hall and Xavier prepare for us by having over a week. Hopefully we can get some of that going too.
Let's just make sure the league gets this one Wright.

Not sure I'd like to play DePaul less than 48 hours after playing UConn. But I guess you do have to look to be proactive with scheduling. DePaul would also play Thursday/Sat/Mon/Wed in that scenario. 4 games in 7 days seems like a bit much to ask.

The NCAA actually changed their rule from 3 to 4 games allowed in a week this year specifically for instances like this. And considering DePaul has played 3 games all year, getting some in would be a blessing for them.

Would DePaul be good with playing Thursday and then again Saturday? They should for the lack of games played so far, but figured it's a good question to put out there.

Uh-oh. COVID-induced psychosis? ;D
Does this go down as a forfeit for Nova? That is what they did for my son's HS games when his team went on covid breaks
Honestly surprised MU made it this far without a cancellation.
So will wojo be able to use the excuse of the team being too tired now with one less game during the week?
Looks like Nova and possibly Penn State are the only high majors currently on pause. Penn State plays Michigan this weekend so would be cool to see MU play Michigan this weekend instead. MU and Michigan do have a decent number of games in so far so I doubt that happens. DePaul would be an option but it seems that is a bit of a stretch also.
do the athletes still get to have workouts or are they strictly quarantined?

Florida State is also on pause. They already postponed a game against Duke, as well as their game Wednesday at Syracuse.
So Nova willingly just decides to postpone a couple of their games to let their players see their families, and then they come back and have to pause because of positive tests? They should forfeit the games they can't play.
