Linc Darner is out and will likely take his Indy 500-level pace with him. So will Will Ryan, son of Badger legend Bo, make a 180-degree turn? Here's the Cracked Sidewalks preview of the players Ryan has to work with and the style that might not be what everyone expects.

Is Will Ryan the person who supposedly microwaved a live bird?

I believe that was Chad Alvarez. Which is too bad because I think you could work in some nice Phoenix jokes if it was Will.

Correct on both counts. Would've been a new meaning for "rising from the ashes" but alas...

As you said, in relation to rest of roster, maybe Thompson starts. In a vacuum, having seen Thompson probably 10 times in HS, surprised he'd be a starter on a D1 mid-major.

Their frontcourt is really thin. They have 3 other freshmen that are between 6'6" and 6'8" and all three project as more pick and pop wings or slashers than actual bigs. I think Theo John could put up a monster game as there just isn't any strength inside. Believe it or not, Thompson is probably the closest thing to a center on their roster.
It will be interesting to see how Ryan handles his interior. Can't imagine they are going to play any zone, but their interior looks like it will get destroyed by any team with physical bigs if they are playing man.
