Use as you wish.

Why?

Check out of his twitter feed from a few months ago before the brass at MU warned him. He’s gone off the deep end and pissed a lot of people off.

Stop being coy. Tell us exactly why you think he should go.

What does this have to do with covid?

IBTL.

He was fixated on death rates from COVID, and how it disproportionately affected older people. Hardly fireable.

Was he spreading conspiracies about it? Or just focused on the numbers?

The latter

I'm not really a big fan of the guy, but this is a big bunch of nothing.

Then it's a non issue

I make it a point to not pay attention to Homer on non-MU topics, and even then, only at like a 50% clip.
-
Homer is an awesome play by play announcer. But if there isn't a MU game in progress, he's just another guy I don't pay attention to....
-
Given a lot of his views, I will be surprised if the current team embraces him. That is about the only thing that should concern Marquette.
A lot of his views outside of mubb are asinine, but hardly fire-able. They are just his opinions and easily ignored.
Oh, and he is a good play by play guy.

Back when I first started having a drive commute that lined up with his radio show I tried listening... but it's terrible. Granted I came to realize that *all* sports talk radio is utter irredeemable trash, but outside of MC-ing fundraisers and doing pxp, Homer's not good.

I enjoyed his show a couple of decades ago when he was on WISN 1130. Have not listened since before the move to ESPN though. Has it changed, or am I mis-remembering what I thought was pretty entertaining?

When I lived in Milwaukee in the early 90s, I thought it was pretty good. But back then they just talked sports for a couple of hours. There weren't a bunch of hot takes or shenanigans to lift your voice above others. He was on WISN because "sports radio" really wasn't much of a thing.
ESPN radio really changed everything. I remember when Homer actually did a guest slot on the national ESPN broadcast, and I thought he would be pretty good, but he really wasn't. He suffered in comparison.

If you get any of your news from Homer, I've got a bridge to sell you.
