I know he isn't the most popular guy around here, but unfortunate news here, as he is being forced to step down at Scranton due to ALS.

Ouch .. My father died from ALS 20 years ago. Wouldn't wish that on anyone.
My father in law died at 70 about 4 years ago from ALS. Brutal disease, thankfully he passed within 6 months of it getting really bad.
May not have liked him as Marquette President but we pray for God's help in his dealing with this terrible disease.
Wow. That is sad. I didn't even know he was at Scranton. I know he went to Georgetown Prep in DC after MU.

dittos here dog, no one deserves to go the way of ALS-you couldn't torture someone(or their loved ones) any worse than this...well, this is top 5 of the bad ones(ALS)
Good luck and God's blessings.
My father-in-law died of ALS about 10 years ago. Terrible disease, my heart breaks for anyone that has to deal with it. Nothing worse than your own body turning into a prison.
