By far, the TBT Championship is the best win of the Wojo era.
Perhaps beating Villanova is a distant second.
It's a shame there isn't more to choose from! What are your favorites?
This game by far wow. I was on the edge of my seat the whole game, well coached by chapman and great play by everyone
I would agree. The quality of basketball was phenomenal for a group of guys that only have played together for a few weeks. Imagine the quality of the tournament had these guys had an extra few weeks to prep.
Ball Movement A+
Intensity A+
Defense A
Coaching A+
Offense A
38 Year old Diener Inbounds Plays and 3 pt shot A++
Start another thread about it.

Not trying to bash on the guys, A+ ball movement would be pretty high to me, seemed to get stagnant throughout the tourney but we anyone on the team besides Luke could take a guy off the dribble and score

You can't have enough TBT threads. Best performance by MU since the Buzz Era.

It's the best performance since Wade was at MU. This team would have smoked any of Buzz's teams. They'd have 3 players better than the best player on any of Buzz's teams. Maybe even 4.

As they mentioned many times during the broadcast, these guys continue to get better after they leave college. Buycks was just not that good in college. Acker hardly played his junior year and is much better than he was in college. J. Wilson has unlocked the potential everyone saw in college. Take Jimmy Butler in the pros and he is way better than Jimmy in college. Wade was amazing in college. More amazing years later.

Best 3 or 4 players? Outside of the non-MU alumni everyone played for Buzz except for Deiner, Rowsey, and Fischer. And the top 3 scorers all played fow Buzz; Wilson, DJO, and Buycks.
Additionally Buzz had teams that included Butler and 2012 BEast PoY Crowder.
Don't understand this obsession to compare TBT teams against college teams. This was the greatest run of the TBT era because this is the only championship. It also seems to be overlooked by some that the TBT success requires a number of players that are just short of NBA level. The extended family atmosphere is nice but comparing the "almost NBA players" across different coaches is kind of a fools errand. But by all means let this turn into another Crean v Buzz v Wojo thread ::).

I'm talking this TBT roster as it is over the college rosters as they were. It's really not even close. Wade is the only MU player in my lifetime that was even close to any of our top 3 TBT players while he was in college.
Breaking news: shitty poster writes a shitty post
Stop feeding this stupid troll.
What is good about the Golden Eagles TBT team is that all the former players love MU.
The Warriors teams that won 3 NBA titles in 4 years were better than any of the Warriors teams that Al had.
Which is about as relevant as the OP.

all the guys were on Instagram live after the game saying they're gonna "run it back next year" and "we're coming back next summer"
Love to see it.
Back to the OP:. Nowhere.

Considering Steve had next to nothing to do with the team (he wasn't the coach and the actual coach never played for him) how is this a "Wojo era" win? If anything, the school should give Joe Chapman whatever he would want to take over the program and kick Steve to the curb.

Why not hire Colin Curtin? He coached 3 teams to a TBT championship

Without Bias is so biased. Considering that DJO and Bucycks were Buzz guys, and I believe Wilson also was.

This is a dumb take.
This Marquette team would have won the national championship. So would have about 4 other teams.

Considering all of these teams are made up of mostly 25-35 year old pros with lengthy professional and even NBA experience, I'm going to say that's about the coldest take imaginable. I think the vast majority of TBT teams would be elite at the college level.

A large majority on both scoop and the general population don't understand that however.
