What's your favorite candy (or candies)? Intentionally open ended.
I prefer chocolate over sugary overall. My favorite chocolate candy is sponge candy (specifically from the Country Store in Eagle River, WI. If you're a Trembly's fan over the Country Store get out of my face). Can't go wrong with turtles or toffee. Also a simple Dove milk chocolate is underrated.
For sugary I'm a fan of the purple package of skittles and the berry version of the Trolly gummy worms.
Never been a fan of sweets so Sour Straws or anything that is dark chocolate + peanut butter. seriously try making 100% dark chocolate melted over peanut butter with some shredded coconut on top. try it now thank me later

I'm not anti dark chocolate like some people, just prefer milk chocolate. Peanut butter makes just about anything better too.
1. Twizzlers strawberry licorice. Never not good.
2. Butterfingers.
3. Peanut (or pretzel) M & Ms.

Reese Sticks.
Post intramural softball wins we'd stop at Open Pantry and I'd pick up a frozen pizza and king sized Reese's Sticks and Cookies N Cream Hershey's bar, along with a Gatorade and Vitamin Water. Classic.

Cn'C Hershey is so good, but I'm so over it after 75% of it. White chocolate has staying power issues.

You're welcome.
Plain dark chocolate - about 75% cocoa is perfect IMHO.
Salted caramels.
Jolly Ranchers
Most overrated: Jelly Belly (but I will still destroy those when given the chance)

I do have a bit of a sweet tooth, I'm sure I'll eventually get diabetes.
My favorites:
Candy - Sour Skittles, Giant Sweet Tarts, Runts, Mike & Ike, Boston Baked Beans.
Chocolate - Heath/Skor and Twix
Anyone else hear of the suspected link between Alzheimer's and sugar consumption?
I used to work for a vending company, and the founder, who was famous for his desk drawer full of candy, developed it. After I heard about the sugar connection, I would ask people whose family members had Alzheimer's if that person had a big sweet tooth. I am almost always told "yes".
Anecdotal, I know, but still interesting. Also, if true, I am f*cked.

HERSHEY'S Milk chocolate with almonds
In Italy the big seller is Peanut M&M's. Why? Who knew?
1. Dark chocolate non pareils (from Munson's)
2. Peanut M&M's
3. Ande's chocolate mints
Favorite non-chocolate candy...
Mike & Ike's

I did a quick search because I would be f*cked too...and learned that the link appears to be with poor blood sugar control due to diabetes. So a person with a sweet tooth
who then develops diabetes and doesn't keep his/her blood sugar under control would be f*cked.

To make a long story short, diabetes is the mother of all disease.
How do I post my business card in this thread, hey?
I like scoop. It's just the candy I need.
Show of hands: who here likes black licorice? I think it's horrible medicine flavor candy from the past, but some people love it.

Not a ton of it, but I like it. Sometimes before driving to basketball practice or games, I take 2 red Twizzlers and 2 black Twizzlers and cut them into bite-sized pieces. I put them in a little cup and eat them on the way.
The UK version of the Kit Kat is so much better than the US version.
UK Kit Kat is a top 5 candy bar.
If I need chocolate, it's either salted dark chocolate or, if commercial only, 3 Musketeers
But on a normal day, sour patch kids, lemon heads or good n plenty

Fun fact: They are building a Haribo factory in Pleasant Prairie, Wisonsin, the same town that is the home of Jelly Belly.
I don't have a strong favorite. I generally prefer the chocolate/caramel/nut family to things in the sugar family, but I like some of those too.
I like most of the popular candy bars including Kit Kat, Snickers, Twix, Pay Day, Milky Way, Reese's PBC, Baby Ruth, etc. I don't particularly like Three Musketeers. Recently we had a bin of dark chocolate peanut butter cups from Trader Joes, and those were outstanding. I like sour candies too. I really don't like black licorice or other anise-flavored candies.

I always thought Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin sounded like the setting of a mid-century sitcom. Isn't that where the Cleavers and the "Father Knows Best" family lived?
Heath bars.
Hershey bars, for some reason, are better in Canada. Weird, huh. We theorize the difference might be real sugar v corn syrup.
