Not a good look for Alabama: Tua 13, Jerry 8
And former Alabama: Hurts 18

Johnny Manziel - 32
Dan Marino - 16
Who's smarter?

Who's smarter?
Probably Manziel.

Wonderlic no Matta. Keep the ball away from the guys in the other color shirts

Game smarts better than book smarts.

Yup
Jerry Jeudy may be dumb as a rock in the classroom, but having watched him play quite a bit, he's very smart on the field.

But he can still get into college. Reminds me of Gary Cole from Racine. Probably would have been a Warrior, but he wasn't too accomplished in the classroom. Somehow got into UW-Parkside (insert joke here) and ended up in the NBA for a bit before playing overseas for a many years. Considered by many to be the best offensive player out of Racine (Chones, Caron Butler, among others), he scored the 1st points for the Dallas Mavs.

The classic Urlacher paradox. Urlacher was borderline brain dead off the field but he was easily one of the most brilliant football minds I’ve ever seen. Absolute savant

Dan Marino wasn’t known for his brain on or off the field. He did have an amazingly strong and accurate arm though.
-
The unanimous 2019 NFL MVP and first-team All Pro quarterback scored a 13 on his Wonderlic.
Wonderlic no matta.
-
FWIW, ESPN is reporting that the leaked Wonderlic for Tua is incorrect and he actually scored a 19, if that matters.

And an insatiable appetite for the booger sugar. He wasn’t known at Pitt as “The Snowman” by coincidence.

Just an excuse for Bob McGinn to stay in the news once a year.

How smart does a guy have to be to understand "just throw it to the guys with the right colored jerseys, son"?

Cause there are pre-snap reads, moving parts, defensive formation bluffs to read, all while factoring in the routes your WRs are running.

And also cause you are throwing it to a spot where that right colored jersey will be 2 seconds after you throw it.
Wonderlic is a flawed metric for many positions, but I don’t feel it is for QB

Deshaun Watson, the guy whose football intelligence is being prasised here, had the lowest Wonderlic score of the 2017 QB class.

The Bears have been trying to find that guy for awhile.

It was just a video that illustrates that Gooo’s assumption was recklessly simplistic.
But Watson has a 20 if I recall and Mahomes a 24, which is the average for a QB if I recall. Peyton and Brees were both 28s I think.

Recklessly simplistic? Perhaps, but to prove the point that a test isn't the answer. A few notorious examples where even a 30+ Wonderlic couldn't salvage even these high first-rounders:
Christian Ponder: Drafted #12 with a Wonderlic of 35. Career RTG 75.9; 38 TD; 36 INT.
Joey Harrington: Drafted #3 with a Wonderlic of 32. Career RTG 69.4; 79 TD; 85 INT.
David Klingler: Drafted #3 with a Wonderlic of 30. Career RTG 65.1; 16 TD; 21 INT.
And then Brett Favre won 3 MVPs and went to the HOF with a Wonderlic of 22.

Yeah, my only point was that this shows that despite a middling Wonderlic score, Watson definitely is not lacking in football intelligence.
