Hi all...
First-time poster, long-time reader. MU Class of '88 - former sports editor of the MU Tribune during the glory days of Bob Dukiet. Great forum here. I made the trip from Florida to NYC for this year's Big East Tournament and was there for less than 18 hours. Wanted to share my personal story I wrote for The Palm Beach Post, where I am community news editor.

Welcome - and nice article! A very human take on the Coronavirus pandemic.
I enjoyed that. Thank you.
Heartfelt and well written. Thank you.
Welcome, fellow class of 88 graduate who spent way too much time in Johnston Hall. Good luck. Stay safe.
I am glad you are responsible enough to self-quarantine and very happy you did not get the virus.
I have been wondering, if there would be Big East basketball players infected with the virus. We have not heard anything and hopefully that means no one got sick. Remember MU actually played their last conference game in New York City, so maybe we were very lucky not to have the whole team infected.
Jim, great post, thanks for sharing.....where you one of Joe Metz' buddies?
The change from Wed. to Thurs. was remarkable in the city. Had a similar experience - left Thurs. after some discussion at the hotel regarding the non-cancellable nature of my reservation. Didn't get to have any interplay with cheerleaders though!

I was class of 89 and although Joe was ahead of me at MU, met him early on in one of the bars talking sports. Great guy, laughed every time I spoke with him...was so sad to hear of his passing those many years ago.
