Title: Final Top 100 Value Add Players from the year without a March Madness
Post by: Marquetteauburn on March 14, 2020, 08:32:47 AM
Some of you are on my email list at valueaddsports@gmail.com, but if not here is my season ending ranking of the top 100 Value Add players. Markus came in 5th, and all 4000+ will be updated shortly - the rankings now posted are a couple of weeks old. You may recall Myles Powell ranked higher than Markus at the end of last year in the rankings, but not this year.

Interesting to see these numbers. We have the third worst record of teams with a player in the Top 30, and our guy checks in at 5th best overall.

Yes, and I really did have Powell fall off quite a bit down the stretch. I don't begrudge him BE player of they year because he had an argument for it last year and almost felt like they had to give it to him this year. Well, maybe this isn't the end for Markus afterall.

And a number of the teams with a top 30 guy play in the A10, Mountain West, AAC, and Pac12 conferences.

And a number of them don't!

Well, maybe this isn't the end for Markus afterall.

He only needs 907 to catch Pistol Pete!

But if he did, they'd probably give him an asterisk.

The actual www.valueaddbasketball.com website is updated if anyone wants to use that for searches. Thanks!

Assuming I counted right:
Creighton and Villanova has 3 top 100 players.
Butler, Xavier and Seton Hall had two top 100's.
Markus did not have a strong supporting cast.

Don't worry Wojo will coach them up next year. Top 25 here we come! ::)

Well...we probably would have had 3 top 100 players too if Wojo could have managed the locker room.

No doubt it was the Hausers who torpedoed last season. But wait, it happened again this year without "vanilla soft serve."
