Bradley (22-11)wins Missouri valley Conference Title. Bradley coached by ex-MU great Brian Wardle. Congrats to Brian.
Happy to see one of our own doing well...for the second straight season.
Congrats Brian!
Incredible post game interview by him. I hope Lovell and Scholl were watching and had the volume up.

If only Wojo wore his gold shoes
Yes, congrats to Wardle for another good season, and congrats also to Wojo and his great season.

I heard they were meeting about extending Wojo again. They feel if they did so once when choking 6 of 7 to end a season, it's only right to do so now that Wojo managed to duplicate that feat.

He has now bettered losing 6 of 7 to 7 of 8.
Don't forget about Mike Bargan sitting to Wardle's right. Some seem to worship assistants here so Mike should get love too.
Wardle is waiting in the wings for Coach K to retire.
I am very happy for him. He was a great player at Marquette and has developed as a coach.
Congrats Brian! I watched the game. Nice to see success!

How many NCAA Tournament games did Mr. Clutch himself win in his career?

Mr. Clutch played in six NCAA tournament victories for West Virginia in total. He was MOP of the tournament in 1960 despite his squad falling by 1 to Cal in the final.

If we are talking about Aaron Hutchins, he has 1 tourney win in the 1st round against Monmouth in the 1996 tournament. Of note though is that he was also part of the only MU team to win a post-season conference tournament when they won the Great Midwest tournament in 1997 and his team made it to the NIT final when he was a Freshman in 1995 where they had the game stolen from them by the refs when they lost to Va Tech 65-64.

If you put Hutchins on this year's Marquette team we probably win the conference. No idea what the intent of this question was, but if it was to knock him it's moronic.

Good to see the name change. Fits you well. Sorry again you missed the mark so badly telling all of Scoop in your typical aloof and condescending tone that Wojo was the sh$t. For 6 years you've beat that drum and talked sh$t to those who held a different viewpoint.
Yet you still have too much pride and ego to let it go. Petty for sure. #fight. #breathe. #compete.
Imagine winning league championships. How novel.
Refreshing, actually.

Hutch also dropped 20 in the debacle against Arkansas. 5-13 shooting but 4-7 from three. Pieper was 4 for 20 and as a team, we shot 19% from inside the arc.
He also led us to the 1996 CUSA title game where we lost in OT against Cincy. I took a later bus back from O'Hare coming back from Spring Break to watch that game.

"Wojo will take this program to a level not seen since the 70s."
That ended up being correct, but a decade off: Wojo's taken us to a level not seen since the 80s. At best, the above statement was completely unfounded hubris. At worst, it was lascivious slurpery.

Not sure what this has to do with Wojo. I'm all in on Wardle. Do we even need to go through the hiring process? If Wardle doesn't simply set down a DVD copy of that post game interview and ask whoever is in on the interview what more they need to see, he needs to reassess how he's handling his interviews. And he damn well better wear those red shoes to the interview for good luck!
Great job Brian. I'm glad you were able to run off wins against the 5th, 8th, and 7th place teams in the MVC. You're ready for the Big East my man.

I'm not going to advocate Wardle for a job that isn't even open, but you can only play the teams that line up across from you, and his teams won those games when higher-seeded teams could not. I'm happy for both Brian and Mike Bargan. Dancing again.
Did Wardle steal your GF at MU? You sure seem to have a grudge against him.

Right. He beat a bad basketball team. I'm glad he's dancing. I'm also cracking up that we're ready to hire a guy because he had a good post game interview (whatever that means).
I find Bill Bellichick's post game interviews to be entirely useless. Which obviously means the guy can't coach a lick.

Ummm, we aren't anywhere near the depths we reached in the 80s. In addition to the consistent downward trajectory through the decade, we played weaker competition. Wojo has us in the upper to middle tier of one of the best conferences in the country. Hank did OK for a couple years at the beginning, but then Rick and the Piano Man took us to the bottom of the independents when the independents weren't good anymore.

Where is Jon Harris? He took a dead-end HC job at Edwardsville and was fired. I'd love to see him as an assistant and to work with the bigs.

Keep fooling yourself. "Upper to middle tier" Vrry charitable.
Marquette, based on record alone, is bottom half of the conference. Most outsiders consider Marquette to be in the lower half of the Big East (my universe is SEC and Big 12 fans, and 1 Seton Hall fan - joy!). They make jokes about an easy out "IF" Marquette even makes the tournament.
If Bradley wins a tournament game, Wardle has done more in 5 years than Wojo.
