First Team
Kamar Baldwin, Butler
Ty-Shon Alexander, Creighton
Markus Howard, Marquette
Myles Powell, Seton Hall
Saddiq Bey, Villanova
Naji Marshall, Xavier
Markus, Powell and Bey unanimous which means Markus vs. Powell for POY. The rest of the awards announced Monday and Weds (POY).

Does it annoy anyone else as much as it does me that these conferences name 6 players to their all conference teams?? That's just stupid...basketball is played with 5 players..that's how many should be on your all conference teams.
I thought Tyrique Jones was better than Marshal. Guy averaged like 14 points and 13 rebounds in BE play, just a monster season.
Just snipping in all the teams from the release.

Marshall and Powell shouldn't even be on the team. Jones and either Gillespie or Zegarowski would be better choices. But not surprised, it's hard to change a narrative that started months ago.
Romaro Gill collecting some hardware. Nice award for Denzel Mahoney.

One of the biggest. Which unfortunately also makes me one of the most disappointed. But by all means return to your fiddle, the fire will surely go out by itself.

You certainly had me fooled in your disappointment!

Also find it funny how perturbed you get my cheeks constant backing of Tom Crean. Eliminate the name dropping and sub "Buzz Williams" for "Tom Crean" and you are cheeks. You both have that spicy sense. "Crean/Buzz is being bashed on an anonymous Marquette basketball forum. NOT. ON. MY. WATCH!"

This is what you write in response to my "Koby didn't make the second team" post? WTF??
Anyhoo, it's no secret that I was and still am a Buzz fan - think he's an interesting guy and a top notch coach. But I let plenty of criticism directed his way on Scoop go unanswered. Some of it I even agree with. When people make stuff up or phony up the facts, though, I respond. If that bothers you put me on Ignore. I won't be the least bit offended.
So...how about Markus making first team?
Congratulations young man!!
"Due to a tie in the voting, the BIG EAST Sportsmanship Award will be shared by Butler's Kamar Baldwin, Georgetown's Jagan Mosely and Providence's Emmitt Holt."
How do 3 guys share the Sportmanship Award when there's 10 coaches voting?

It's not terribly surprising. There are several possibilities. The first that comes to mind, three guys got three votes each and another guy got one vote.

3 coaches voted for each of them and 1 coach voted for somebody else?
Edit: Never mind, StillAWarrior beat me to it.
Makes sense considering the nature of the award. Thanks. I'll go back to bed now.
